Yay: Strawberries and ice cream, though not together.

Nay: Onions. I can't even get past the smell.

I will never tire of chili. I don't mean that soupy shit that Cincinatti people call chili, I mean Chili, the way God intended, and by that, I mean Texans. Rich, flavorful, full of meat, beans and spices-Chili! Yum.

As for hate, there is no question. Olives and licorace. If they made a olive-flavored licorace it would by my personal Kryptonite.

I bet Ego gets tired of you eating chili.

Most Texans don't do beans in their chili.

Yep: Chocolate Chip Cookies

Nope: Mayonnaise. Although not really a "food". I also can't stand potato salad. Yuck. Pretty much anything made with lots of mayo I'm not a fan of.

I don't see how you can hate caviar. Not thinking it's worth the money is one thing, but thinking it's just awful tasting is weird.

The same could be said for most of the "nays" in this thread. That's kinda the point, ain't it? I don't think disliking certain foods can be called "weird", especially something like fish eggs.

While I love sushi, I've still never been able to flip that switch in my brain that will allow me to eat caviar. I haven't tried it because the mere thought makes me gag. I don't eat sushi with roe on it either. It's a psychological hump that I just haven't been able to get over.

They don't have a strong taste is my point. It's like saying you HATE white rice - there's just not enough there to hate. Not a fan? Sure. Hate? I don't see how.

I could say the same thing about tomatoes, mayo, or half a dozen other things listed here. I think it's usually a combination of taste, texture, and visual appeal that turns people off certain foods.

Certainly. I can understand eyeball kid's psychological problem as well. Some things we just can't get over.

Oh and scrapple. BLEH!!!!!!

I will say that I've never had caviar. It's a mental thing totally. Since I love sushi and for years that was a mental thing then perhaps one day I will like caviar too. I have just started to like grits (with lots of cheese, bacon, and chipolte*) and brussel sprouts (also with bacon*).

* maybe it's my lust for bacon that has the power to overwhelm otherwise loathsome foods.

Yeah, it's not a like/don't like question, it's the more interesting like/wtf? question.

Eat every day: potatoes--infinite variety
Don't understand: Natto--spoiled soybeans, and you LIKE it?

Everyday: French toast
Never again: Ginger..........when I eat dinner at my grandparents I sometimes get a huge block of ginger, it's like someone punches my senses whenever I bite into one.

I like Cauliflower and broccoli just fine.

and ashamedly, I'm not one for spaghetti......takes a real sauce boss to make pasta sauce I like.

I pretty much will try anything and love most things. All time fave though is Shredded duck in pancakes with cucumber and plumb sauce.

i only hate 2 foods they are: Grapefruit and Calamari

Yay = HOT curries

Nay = Bean burritos. They look like someones idea of a practical joke that got out of hand.

I could eat lamb chops or rack of ribs every day. Or at least until I die of a heart attack. Apple pie too.

I cannot stomach chocolate in any way shape or form. After all these years I don't expect anyone else to understand it, so I just say I have an allergy. But ugh, the mere scent of it makes me gag!

Love: Probably falafels. I'm so glad that Toronto has some great cheap Middle-Eastern places. I think the best is one place where you can get the falafel with deep-fried eggplant and cauliflower.

I could probably also eat some form of pasta every day of the week.

I also think I will never be able to sway myself away from french fries.

Loathe: Olives in any form other than oil.

Love: Anything with vanilla.

Don't get: Durian.

Pizza everyday.
Sushi, never.
Nothing beats a good steak. NOTHING.

And I can't stand raw tomatoes. I don't know why cause I love tomato sauce and ketchup but raw tomatoes are vomitous mass.

Pizza everyday

Mushrooms never

I'd have to be a pastry chef or something along those lines because of my dislike for mushrooms and for killing my own food (fish, lobster, birds, etc.).
