This is without a doubt the best game I've played in the last couple of years.
It's better than any Resident Evil before it on many levels although you still can't move while shooting which pisses me off. No more Umbrella, well not yet at least, and no more Racoon City. Now you're in Europe looking for the President's daughter who has been kidnapped. You start out in a quaint little village in the sticks. Actually it aint so quaint when you start finding the dozens of traps scattered about everywhere and the townspeople attack on sight with pitchforks, axes, dynamite and of course, chainsaws. The chainsaw wielding villagers wear sacks over their heads to give it a very Leatherfacian feel. Actually the first movie I thought of when I started playing was Southern Comfort. After awhile it takes a turn for the Lovecraftian and really gets weird.
The graphics rivalk the best on any system and the Dolby Pro Logic II audio is done nicely and effectively.
The emphasis is on action this time around with plenty of ammo to blow shit up with at your disposal. It's hard for me to tear myself away from it. The sad thing is I know this one will be adapted to film someday and completely suck. It could be so cool if done seriously though.
