I am conducting a study examining the relationship between ethnic identity and psychological well-being for my masters thesis. The study explores how participants’ develop their ethnic identities and examines factors that may influence it. I am currently waiting on approval from my thesis committee to begin collecting data, but in the meantime I want to get feedback from people I know on whether the measures I'm using are easy to understand and tap into what I'm trying to measure. I have had some friends IRL test it out and thought it'd be interesting to get some responses from you all.
If you particiapte, I'll e-mail you a packet of questionnaires, which should take about 40-60 minutes to complete. All the measures have been tested for validity and have been accepted for use by the APA (many have been in use for dozens of years).
This study is meant to be a paper survey, so if you get to a question that asks you to circle an answer, please bold it. If the survey asks you to check a box or insert a number, just type in an "X" or an appropriate number in the space provided. Also, on the demographic sheet, feel free to skip anything that may not apply to you (ex., being a college student).
All information gathered will be kept strictly confidential as your name is not placed on any of the forms. The data gathered will not be used for my study and will be destroyed in three months.
