I was bored the other day and started rooting through my VHS collection and found this one. I decided pop it in for another watch and low and behold, it was just as fun as I had remembered being.

So, barring the plot's whole "Alien/Thing ripoff" aspect, what is everyone's opinion?

Still wish they'd kept the tag-line,"How long can you hold your breath...?"

Hokey fun.

I used to love that movie.
Always see that it's on TBS or TNT every once in a while.

It's entertaining. I watch it when I don't feel like watching The Abyss. Not too many undersea movies out there.

was and still is a great movie. Reminds of me Alien underwater. When I saw it, made me think about not drinking any old old alcohol.

It gets a pass for one reason: Amanda Pays. Used to have a major thing for her.

so true!

leviathan had potential but ultimately the monster sucked balls imho. a shocker as it was designed by stan winston.

i'd take "deepstar six" over leviathan.

speaking of underwater monster movies (which are sadly very, very few) anyone remember
"destination: inner space"? i remember that being a pretty good underwater b monster movie.

Incidently, I found Deepstar Six as well when I was going through the VHS tapes. I'd have to agree that there really is a serious lack of undersea horror movies. I'll have to checkout Destination: Inner Space if I can get my hands on a copy.
