This came out in that dark period where I moved to Canada for a year and a half. It was interesting digging up the old
Alpha Protocol Thread and giving it a read. Things did take a turn on page 2 of the thread when the review scores and apparent dev disowning posts popped up. For me, the best $2 bucks I've ever spent, and it kind of feels criminal getting a great game for so little. I did make up for that though, gifted 10 copies to my friends when that sale happened, and my brother ended up keeping my original 360 purchase, he's played through it three times.
Nearly wrapped up Moscow now. Just have that last mission to go before I either head to Rome or Taipei. There are times where I do find myself fighting the combat system, trying to fire off shots from cover at swarms of enemies (especially in the Embassy mission) but I remember to use chainshot and sneak in for some melee takedowns. Stelios in the original thread was on the money, the complaints wouldn't be so loud if it were an old school isometric affair and not a gears or graw looking affair. And some of the original complaints about the graphics are kind of baffling, game looks stunning at times nowhere near approaching Halo 1 fidelity.
But what's said is said and that's in the past.
