i had a similar thing happen to my hands when i was a kid, two of mine fingers were severed, much like his only higher up on the finger, and sewed back on. i was standing on a rocking chair near a window fan. the chair rocked and my hand went into the pre-safety metal fan. unfortuanly no cameras handy to take photos.

but he spent four days in the hospial after that? that seems a bit long, doesn't it?

My brother worked at a deli and got his finger caught in the slicer. He sliced diagonally through his nail and I was obssessed with it. I remember asking him to flip it back so I could peer inside for a closer look. My brother was so disgusted at the thought.
