The word "Good" is incongruous with the words "Avatar Press".

Their comics are shit.

These comics will be shit.

I should have clarified. The "Good Original" wasn't referring to those movie properties

I was talking about the comics i have other threads about. I just thought everyone would like to see the covers. I think they look cool anyway.

Fuck that!

they are good looking covers.

And if you're a big fan why not pick some up.

I admit that avatar isn't the best, but these are gonna be in color with new artists. so who knows.

Those covers are terrible. There's no eye for composition, the figures are spotty, lineweight is all over the place. It's just pointless gore without any other merit.

Oh wait, shit.

I forgot which forum I was in. Carry on.

Specifically, I meant that you're pretty much the target audience. Artistic or literary merit isn't even a factor. It's gore, tits, gore, gore and more gore and tits.

I really dug Avatar's Frank Miller ROBOCOP that they did not too long ago. I thought that was pretty cool.

Alan Moore wrote Yuggoth Cultures for Avatar, a Lovecraft inspired anthology series. It was quite good, proof that Avatar does publish quality comix.

No, they're really not. Even Rob Liefeld is laughing at those deformed shitpiles.

Newsarama has a big article/interview with the writer, along with more covers and they discuss the plots for the first story arcs. I guess they tie into the new movies. Also a one shot with all 3 is released May13th.

Avatar, for the most part is shit, I don't disagree, but they've published stories by Alan Moore, Warren Ellis, Garth Ennis, and Joe R. Lansdale, so they can't be all that bad.

The Freddy/Jason/Leatherface books are written by former Chaos! Comics honcho Brian Pulido, so they automatically have the literary merit of toilet paper.

I´m a big slasherfilm fan so i´m gonna buy these comix, even though i know they might suck.

If you are, do your self a favor and pick up Hack/Slash from DDP comics. It fun funny and violent. cool slasher movie stuff.

Its a Bi-monthly, #3 is on the stands now and in june they're doing a crossover. Here's a preview:

Hack/Slash

Oh and it looks like Dead Dog has the rights to the Original Leather Face. I can't find it on their website but he was in a solicitation in the back of NOTLD Barbara's Zombie Chronicles #3. (believe it or not "Barbara" outsold walking dead, I know i doesn't make any sense)

Damn Nation 2 has come out and its been real good so far. I have to say I've never been a fan of that water-color art style though.
