I saw the photos earlier today. Crazy stuff.

I can't imagine a more useless article without pictures. Anyone got a link to the actual news?

The CNN.com article had the photos. They must have removed them by now.

I saw no pictures or links to them on that page. I hate when news reports do this. The whole story is about the pictures, but they aren't there.

I found the pictures here: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/new...unami0224.html

Is the guy in that first picture strolling on the beach naked? If so, then nature hath spoken.

They're on the original link, right in front of you. Bottom left of the article in a "RELATED" box "Gallery: Recovered tsunami images". You can't miss it.

Buffy is right, Sammy. If by "bottom left of the article" s/he means "bottom right of the article".

Ha! Did you hear that guy too? Man, people got PO'd here in Atlanta when a station interviewed him. Too bad they didn't realize it was a joke.

Emmerich would've done a better job.

That reminds me of that guy who was eaten by bears in Yellowstone, and when they found his camera it had pictures of a bear looking at him.

Tip: If there is something that can kill you and it is APPROACHING you, do not stand around snapping pictures.

Not to seem insensitive or anything, but...

HAH!!

talking about a bear I agree, it's hard to think of a more immediate and obvious threat.

I think a tsunami would be a bit different though. It's not like the sky goes black or the ground starts to shake. It's a lovely day at the beach with a little (seemingly) ridge out on the horizon one minute and the next minute the tide goes out almost instantly and your looking at a wall of water. By then it's too late. Surely you'd think something was odd a minute or two in advance but who would even consider it was something life threatening at first?

Honestly, unless you're a boating expert or oceanographer it wouldn't even cross your mind until it was almost on top of you. It would be almost as out of the blue as getting hit by a meteor walking home from work.

Click...Click...Click.
I think it is a load of shit.
what, some elaborate fake death? They're dead... it's their camera, whats so difficult to believe? Do you think they somehow knew a tsunami was on the way, precisely when it would hit and set up a tripod? Possibly the cia set it up so this middle age couple could go underground and become international assassins.

PS how strange it would surface now.
not really, i doubt after billion tons of water hit them the camera would be easily found the next day.

I'm with Copper, this is obviously a hoax. I mean, it's not like the tsunami thing was some giant wave washing over numerous island nations wiping out literally everything in its path and killing hundreds of thousands people prompting extremely long recovery and rebuilding efforts.

I have yet to be able to get an idea of the height of the wave from any of these pictures.
