Manhunt Game

Now i don't know if i'm the only one here, but i like violence in my videogames.Nothing but the GTA series was so far giving me my outlet of aggression , but those do eventually get stale, and I never thought i would find my ultra-violent Heaven.....until I happened upon Manhunt for the Ps2.
Don't get me wrong, I do think that real violence against real poeple is wrong(hell, i won't let my 2 1/2 year old sons watch the news for crissakes), but I'd be a liar to say I don't get a kick out of ripping a guys throat out with a crowbar on that game. I believe it to be a sad state of affairs when the video game industry is just about the only source for good old, hardcore, blood and guts anymore.
The movie industry needs to take a look at the sales of these ultra-violent games, and take a que.....we want nc-17 movies, we want the good old shock value brought back into some of the horror films coming out.
I don't say let all horror films be just out and out fuck your mind fests, but damn there are some that could have benefitted from it.
(by the way my sons don't get to watch any of my movies with me.......instead, they rule the tv during the day and get old scooby cartoons, or spongebob)
Now this is just my opinion, take it as you will.......by the by, has anyone heard of a possible Manhunt 2?

Unfortunately for us turbo, people like us that love over the top gore and graphic violence in our entertainment are in the minority. I'm not saying that people (americans anyway) oppose violence, because we all know that violence and sex pretty much dominate modern mainstream media, but I'm not quite sure that the average Joe is desensitized enough to actually desire the extreme brutality from MANHUNT depicted realistically in his everyday flick.
Until then, major movie studios are going to cater to the majority of film-goers, who's taste in cinema probably has more in common with Average Joe's than yours or mine. (Which actually makes perfect sense when all you want to do is make as much money as you possibly can.)
Fortunatly there are plenty of non-mainstream film productions that can be purchased with a little bit of research online. I'm sure many of the members of this forum can point you in the right direction and make some great recomendations.

It's also great to find someone else who enjoyed Manhunt as much as I did. Most gamers I know quickly grew tired of the violence gimmick and soon found it to be a mediocre stealth-action game. But personally I thought the game absolutely fukin' rocked. That game is sic. I really loved the early levels with the skinhead gang... getting chased in the dark while they taunt you... only to catch them with thier guard down and give them a very satisfying death... with a bat... ahhhhhhhh...

I gotta get that game out again.

I seriously doubt there will ever be a Manhunt 2. The original Manhunt didn't sell that well.

damn the devil...damn the devil to hell...........I would have thought a new Manhunt with a larger world ...possibly free roaming(ala gta), would be a great idea....but then again, what the hell do I know

I've pimped this game to all of my friends. I absolutely love it. I think Manhunt's the only game I've ever had to flinch at. The atmosphere is intense, and both Cash and Starkweather are just awesome characters. Cash is the epitome of the anti-hero, and I love him for it.

"They're using 'em as bait, Cash. Bait! I know, I know! I could hardly believe it, myself...!"
