Any new info on Jurassic Park 4? - Page 2

Ha ha!!

What about General Grievous???!!!

..oh, hang on...

I doubt this is fake. But I also doubt this is the script they'll shoot.

This is copyrighted material I'm sure. If this dude has the actual script and is posting it on-line, I'm sure Nick would have been asked to remove these images or something, right? Besides, this already seems way to violent for a JP film. Soldiers massacring civilians? General blows his soldier's head off? The violence in the other JP movies was dino related and therefore PG-13 material. This is not. Don't get me wrong, I would love nothing more than to see a R rated Jurrasic Park flick. I just don't think it'll happen.

"I will never do this again. I’m hoaxed out."

I laughed very hard at this for some reason.

Great, just great. Now I'll have to become even more cynical and distrustful.
Well, the fucker got me more or less.

Yeah, I remember being quite shocked reading the first treatment of JP in which Grant fist-rapes the fat kid who says "overgrown turkey."

You shouldve seen the storyboarded sequence of that. Amazing.

Damn those scientists for turning the velociraptor into a sissy!

According to Cinema Blend, the release date is July 22, 2006.
Script by John Sayles and William Monahan

Yeah, a special effects laden movie that hasn't even started shooting yet will be finished in 8 months.

Assuming they ever make one, I wouldn't expect it until at least 2008.

Speilberg did War Of The Worlds in a little under 9 months, so it's not impossible, but I would be skeptical until I got a definent announcment from a studio rather then some fanboy site. In case you have not noticied their accuracy rate is not high.
Too bad they are probably not going with the Dino Commando theme. That sounds goofy enough to be fun.
But I honesly do not see where they can go with this. Just more dinosarus chasing people. And we will have "King Kong" between now and then for a Dinosaur fix.I think the franchsie is dead, and even John Sayles will have a hard time reviving it unless they go in a totally tongue in cheek direction, which is the only way I would consider seeing this. JP3 was bad enough.

I really hope that if they decide to do this that they do indeed move forward with John Sayles' dino commando script. Again, it would be a perfect film for Joe Dante to make.

IMDb doesn't even have a director or release date listed.

JURASSIC PARK 4- Spielberg commented on a scene in The Lost World novel that was not included in the movie involving characters on motorcycles outrunning raptors and regretted it not being in The Lost World movie. However, he also said that "that scene IS in Jurassic Park 4."

Apparently, His Most Honorable Beardedness Steven Spielberg recently attended a Q & A at USC Film School and talked a little about the upcoming JURASSIC PARK IV. A scoopilator sent "Development Hell" the following report on it:

He is working with writers on the script to Jurassic Park IV and says that there is going to be a big dinosaur sequence where a pack of motorcycles are forced to out run a bunch of Raptors. Spielberg said that just with the other films in the series, he‘s going to “cherry pick” certain scenes he loved from the books and include them in the new film.

I think Lost World was the real crap chapter in JP so far. JP3 was a welcome return to actual entertainment.

I had the misfortune of watching Lost World again recently, and I continue to be struck by the bad-casting decisions and the completely unnecessary, extraneous, and groan-inducing plot devices.

I really enjoy The Lost World for the fun, dino flick it is. I've never understood why it's hated so much. I feel it and Jurassic Park are comparable in quality. We wanted to see more dinos and we got twice as many as in the original. Worked for me.

JP3 has only three stand out sequences for me: the T-Rex Vs. Spinosaur, the aviary with the pterodactyls, and the final battle on the boat.

I'm severely disappointed in the fact that it seems Spielberg isn't going the crazy or interesting route with JP4, but instead just doing his regular "cut and past sequences from the books that we haven't used yet and craft a plot around it" BS again. It'll just end up being a boring rehash of the others with a few neat sequences thrown in here and there.

At least let us read the last draft that Sayles turned in for his gun toting Dino Commando draft of JP4. Then I can just craft a film version of it directed by Dante in my brain and pass on seeing whatever retread Spielberg ends up sending to the cinemas.

That is............................unless this "motorcyles being chased by raptors sequences" is actually in the John Sayles script. If so, then bring it on!!!

I guess I'm alone in this, but I feel that the Jurassic Park series should be done. The second and third movies were barely passable. There's alot that could be done with it, but nothing that really stays with the feel of the original. If you want Dino commandos great, but dont make it JP. Make it something completely original. Let the series die.

A big budget Dino flick will have a greater advantage with the JP logo branded on it, regardless of the content. Branding is huge. Hell, I want to see a poster with four claw marks in it. I'm nerdy like that.

Producer Frank Marshall recently told MTV News that,

"There's a script, we're getting a director and we're going to get going probably toward the end of this year." Referring to the director of "Park 3," Marshall added that,"Joe Johnston could be back. We want to get the script right before we go forward."

You can read the rest of the story here, http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/artic...06/story.jhtml

The only Joe that should be directing JPIV is Dante.
