Actually it was plotted better than I thought it would be. I agree that the action could've used a good bit of work, but for a basic outline it wasn't that bad. Had some interesting concepts. Oh well, doesn't really matter anymore.
As for QT doing Friday Part 12, let him go for it. If nothing else it will be fun, and there is no way it could be worse than Jason Goes To Hell. There's also another rumor floating around that New Line is reeling in another odd-choice director to give the Freddy franchise a kick in the ass as well. It will be interesting to see how all of this pans out over the next couple of months.
P.S. - To be honest, I was surprised how well the three franchises slide in together at the start of it, but then again I had completely forgotten about the Necronomicon/Evil Dead Dagger being in the Voorhees basement in Jason Goes To Hell. I had always kind of liked the whole F&J vs. Ash idea. At least it would have taken some of the focus off of dumb, cliched teenage characters played by horrible actors and actresses. Granted we still would have had a good bit of that, but the main focus would have been on Bruce Campbell. Let's face it folks, the cliched-as-hell teens are the ones who won Fvs.J, and they always will. At least in Ash, I had a hero to root for and it might have been fun, even if it still turned out to be shite. Enough of the rant, come on Sam, BRING ON EVIL DEAD IV!!!!
