Yes.....thats right....favorite character of all time....OF ALL TIIIME!!

So let it out...give the respect that these characters deserve.

I would have to say that mine is most likely Solid Snake...just an all-around badass.

Raziel just because i loved his tour operator act...his descriptions of Nosgoth were gloomy at best...

Kinda like being on a package holiday with a Verbose Ian Curtis, and that is why I love the evil deformed vampire thing...plus he eats souls...

Kain, but first Kain game, Kain. "Fey Victus!" God, it was so overused, but damn, the glee in the delivery was always awesome.

Snake like a motherfucker. And MGS3 Snake, albeit different, is still badassly cool.

Magus from Chrono Trigger. I mean, you didn't have to get him in our party, but I couldn't not get him. He was just so fucking cool. Scythe! I mean, come on!

The Nameless One. If you who I'm talking about, then you know. Plus, voiced by the Pretender.

Murray the Demonic Skull from Curse of Monkey Island. One of THE greatest villians of all time.

Glottis from Grim Fandango. "We will fly like eagles, Manny. Like eagles...on pogo sticks." One of my favorite game lines of all time.

Link always has and always will be my favorite. I've always been more enthralled by the hero-with-a-heart-of-gold mentality more than the charming, jaded rogue archetype. That being said, second-runner-up for me would be Garrett, the Master Thief himself: Mr. "I'm just here for the gold-- oh shit! I just saved the world again!"

Its a tie for me b/w Scorpion and Sub-Zero. I was forever changed when I pulled off my first fatality.

Oh and Mario and Master Chief ain't so bad.

I'm gonna have to agree with Kain as being my favorite videogame character, but not just from the first game. Kain is a badass in all five games. He's such a dick! In Blood Omen 2, when he found out a certain character betrayed him, and snapped her neck right there, no questions asked.

Obvious choice would be Snake in any incarnation, but if we can include non playable characters I'd have to say The Boss from MGS3, who's probably the greatest and most complex character ever written for a videogame. I never felt that bad having to take someone down.

Chun-Li will always have my undying love as well. Yatta! And Sabin from FFVI, heck all the cast from that game is superb.

There's so much good stuff on here, and as much as I love some of the characters from recent games, like Master Chief, if I had to pick just one it would have to be Link for me as well, and if I had to narrow it down to one version of Link, it woul have to be the original who started it all.

Link is hard to top. There's just some magic there that I can't really put words too.
