Sideshow 12" Willow - Bad Paint Job?

I just received the 12" Willow (Fuzzy Sweater) in the mail today and I'm really disappointed in the head paint job, it's definitely not like the picture advertised online. I understand there will be variances from the picture to the actual production, but this is really ugly. First, it doesn't even look like Willow/Alyson Hannigan. Second, it looks like Mark Harmon from the movie Summer School. Third, the hair color is off. The sculpt seems right, though. I'll post pictures tonight when I get home from work. I bought the 12" Vampire Willow and was satisfied with the paint job (even though they missed some details). This is the first time I bought any sort of 12" doll (Zuni warrior fetish doll excluded). I had plans to create a Willow stalker altar to scare my co-workers.

I just wanted to know if anybody else ordered it and was disappointed or am I off-base here?

I bought the 12" Buffy a couple years ago and was so put off by the bad likeness of the paint job I swore off their other figs. my little 5" Buffy looks a lot more like Gellar than the big un, and it cost 1/6 of the price.

Well, at least it has a cute sweater.

That's another thing - the embroidery flashing (underneath) around the daisies puffs out her sweater so not only does it look like she's wearing NFL shoulder pads, but mutant swollen collarbones as well.

Here's another thing I noticed that's both interesting and disturbing together. Vampire Willow has prominent nipples. Fuzzy Sweater Willow has none. Is it commentary on Good vs. Evil or the fact I was enough of a pervert to find this out? You decide.

Only at CHUD Boards would Nipple Comparing be considered normal.

I would be outraged if my action figures didnt come with nipples.

It seems to be no so much the paint, but rather tha sculpt. The prototype looks great, but it seems like the head shape was warped somewhat during production. It's thinner than it should be and the chin juts WAY too far out.

What sort of material is the head made out of? Is it injection molded or rotocast? Cause it looks like a really soft material.

I'm not quite sure what the difference is. However, I'll agree and say that it might've been pulled too early from the mold and/or warped somehow.
BUT
My issue is the way they painted the eyes. They seem to point in different directions and are too centered. If you examine the package photo, you'll see the pupils are off to the left and touching the upper lid...sort of a "come hither" look. The upper lashes also seem darker. The doll, however, looks like it's had an extended version of huffing gasoline.

Here's another review - but it blames the sculpt.

The fucked up version scares me.

Like it's thinking of ways to kill me as it looks me.

The other picture though. Rawr.

That head must have been meant for a Mayor figure.

That's more than just a jacked-up paint job; that looks like a very different sculpt on the head.

That looks absolutely nothing like Warwick Davis.

See the updated image above. I shortened the head, fixed the pointy chin, thinned the lips, and redid the eyes. I think it's an improvement. I should work at Sideshow!!!
