I think it looks pretty darn cool. Also, IRONSIDE.

Looks cool to me but the title sucks.

Let me see if I have this right.....a horror movie where the bad guy is a bad smell?! I guess it deserves points for originality.

hmm could this be a sequal to "The Fog?" LOL just kidding, looks like it would have potential. have to wait and see.

Anyone wind up seeing this?
Already seen the movie.

The trailer for REEKER makes it all look fine, but that's it. It's a complete mess. Actually, the editor did a great job on this clip hiding all the crap behind.

It begins hopeful, but as soon as they land in the deserted station it goes pretty much downhill from there. The "thing" that stalks them looks like a leftover from HARDWARE and the more you see of it, the more ridiculous it gets. The guy from Hostel & the chick from American Pie 4 don't do much, and even Michael Ironside's appearence looks phoned in. There's nothing resembling atmosphere or tension, there's no nudity and the explanaition at the very end insults. Yes, there is a bit of gore, but it's not worth the bucks.

A rental at best.

Thanks. They're showing this at my local indie tonight, but I'll pass. My days as an Ironside completist are over.

Aw... That's too bad. I dug the first couple minutes with the family stopping at the side of the road. Too much to hope for I suppose...

Actually, I thought it was a terrific little picture. Not perfect but certainly a really fine genre piece.

Slam together Kolobos and Identity and you have Reeker (I only say Identity - well, kind of "only" - because it was shot on the same sets by its incredibly resourceful director. this picture cost less than $1m to make, allegdly, and if that's the case I can't wait for the followup from the team.

Like Alexander Aja's pictures, what Reeker lacks in truly original ideas it more than makes up for in verve, ingenuity, resourcefulness and playfulness.

It's as solid a low budget outing as any of our favourites this decade from Roth to Aja to Mendez, without doubt.

Gosh, who to trust?
I'm probably being a touch hyperbolic, but bear in mind that it was in reposte to the guy that used to have Angelus write for his site, so...

It's a decent, low budget picture, Like Dead End and, to a certain extent, Wrong Turn and its ilk are.

More people should see Kolobos, as an aside.

I'd trust Giles over most family members. And not just cause they know jack about film.

Shameless.

I thought it was a fun little horror flick. Sure it falls into the same conveniences and pitfalls of the genre, but it handles them well.

Shameless proper would have been "More people need to see Wishcraft. Or Rag Tale"

I believe Dave Davis.

At least more people need to see The Craft.
No one ever needs to see THE CRAFT.

Irony.

I'll take "Words Chris Myers doesn't really understand the meaning of" for $400.
