Rented this from Blockbuster yesterday, pretty creepy movie if I must say the daughter has some pretty freaky scenes in it

Next up : A Tale of two sisters

I saw it last weekend and thought it was pretty good.

That little girl was an amazing actress. I hope that she isn't scarred for life from some of the creepy things they had her do. I'm guessing she was older, but she only looked 5 or 6.

never heard of it. Is it a brand new release? or has it been out for a while? The title is called Phone?

Yes, it´s a Korean film.
It´s quite similar to Ringu, but much better actually.

While it is a good film, with some excellent ( and bizarre ) performances, I wouldn't go as far as saying PHONE is better than RINGU .... PHONE was obviously made to cash in on the success of RINGU and it has many similarities .... I do like it though, enough to own it ...... The young actress ( victim ) gives a great performance, and the little one must be seen to be believed ....

Overall, a good film ...

Now, when ya mention TALE OF TWO SISTERS, that is a truly great film ....

i actually saw this a couple of days ago. i thought it was all right, but nothing to write home about. i thought the little girl was a great actress, but after a while i started noticing "problems" with the storyline and it ruined the rest of the movie for me. i definitely think RING (ringu is nothing more than the word "ring" in japanese) was better than phone. i also saw "a tale of two sisters" a while back but i couldn't understand what was the big deal. maybe i was just confused by that movie's storyline.

neat then I might go rent this movie. I would rent this movie if the movie was in english. I don't want to read a movie and try to understand a foregin language and have english suptitles, but if I can choose an option to be in english then yep I would rent it.

i think my son left it behind the couch.

I don't know if there is a dubbed version, but I think a dubbed version of this movie would not be nearly as effective, so be warned. Watch it subtitled if you can, or you'll lose alot of the impact of the lead and the little girl (imo).

A Tale of Two Sisters is a wonderful film…. Although a little hard to understand without 3 or more viewings…

Will have to check this out as Korean cinema is consistently blowing me away at the moment and is slowly helping to soothe the wounds that the Pang brothers did to my love of asian cinema…

It is at my local video store so shall give it a rental….and while Ringu may be Ring in japanese it is just simpler to call the Japanese version ringu so to avoid confusion with the American version.

Cool man thanks for the info, still might go rent it if it does or not, just hope the subtitles don't go so fast in the flick

A pretty cool movie, as with all Korean productions it is absolutley beautiful to look at I jst didn't find it very scary to be perfectly honest.....

Although the shot where you discover Jin-Hee in the wall, her hair in tendrils in the plaster is incredible....
