Now that GWL has announced that the Orig. Trilogy will be released in 3D in '07 for it's 30th anniversary -

yesterday at ShoWest, the focus was on 3D, the announcement by George Lucas that he is planning to release the trilogy in 3D for for the 30th anniversary in 2007.

1) Can we expect even more changes, tweaks, upgrades etc.?

2) Will the uncorrected gaffs be improved?

IMO, almost certainly re: gaffes - he'll be tweaking the entire saga until he dies I guess.

WAT's that all about?

Instead of the Fox logo, TPM will begin with Greedo shooting directly into the audience, a la the Great Train Robbery.

I mean actually shooting directly into the audience. The only way Lucas could possibly show more scorn toward his fans would be to start filling them with hot lead.

Yes, I know it was a gratuitous Lucas dig. I couldn't help myself.

Star Wars in 3D is going to rock my face off. This sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun. I just hope I can keep my hands to myself with a 3D, 25 year old Carrie Fisher in a slave girl costume. Sorry, it had to be said.

"With the [3D glasses] down I can't see a thing! How can I see to [watch the movie]?"

Of course, that training droid is gonna WHIZ out of the screen! Ohboy! Count on it, Luke!

3-D is long overdue as the next stage of movie evolution, and anything that brings it along faster is good IMHO.

3D will never get anywhere until a way is developed to show it without the dopey, uncomfortable, and awkward glasses.
