Amazing. Exciting, emotional, funny. It's CW but longer.

Grievous, Kashyyk being invaded, Ortolans. Greatness.

When does it hit you guys?
Have to agree with you there Fett, it was much better then the first series of CW mainly because it slowed down and centered more on the emotions. It was golden SW!
Anakin's response to C-3POs golden plating:

"Impressive, most impressive"

Loved that, and ALOT more!

I think my favourite part was Qui-Gon. That and Obi-Wan and Anakin starting to actually be like friends.
You guys are lucky, in Canada we don't have Cartoon network, I get o watch via Teletoon, I guess i'll have to look up if they're playing this week at all, i'm glad to hear the postivie stuff, glad to hear they talk more in this volume.
Apparently the new episodes being playing tonight in the US at 7pm EST. Can't FAH-REEKIN' wait!

We've had it play three times today. 8am, 4pm and 6pm (right now).

I tivo'd it, so I can put it onto DVD and screencap some of the cool stuff.
Who does the voices of Obi and Ani? I'm assuming it's not Ewan and Hayden, but I've never seen any of these yet.

I can't remember their names, but they're pretty good.

And John "Bender" DiMaggio does the voice of Grievous.
I thought this didn't start till tomorrow. Dag, yo.
I clicked on the "info" button on my tv guide thing for my cable service, and it gives the following synopsis:
Aftter the firefight and rescue of Ki-Adi Mundi, the council considers the state of the Clone Wars; Anakin and Padme meet secretly, but are interrupted when he;s summoned before the council.

There's nothing about it being the first episode of the second season (not that that is surprising) so I just want to make sure, i this the first new episode of season 2, or did I miss something?
Thread Starter
Yeah, that's the one. It begins exactly where V1 left off, with Ki-Adi-Mundi being rescued from Hypori (IIRC) and Grievous.
Thank Cthulu my dorm gets Cartoon Network.
Yeah, the first episode of the new season takes place right after the 20th episode ended. Then it jumps 3 years ahead in Ch22- right before the opening of EP3.

It actually jumps forward in the middle of 21. Anakin gets promoted, he zips off in his new starfighter, then it's an ad break. We come back and he's in his new guise with long hair.

Blasphemer! It's Cthulhu.

How long is this season supposed to be? Chapter 25 seems to butt right up against the opening of ROTS. Where else can the show go after that?
arg, see, this is the problem with me not having the dvd, it's been so long since I saw the first ones I didn't even remember where they left off. I'm sure this has been reported, but I'll go ahead and sound like a dumbass, is season one out on dvd yet? soon? Is it just me, or in honor of this event, shouldn't cartoon network run a marathon of the first season and follow it up with the new one?

V1 is out today, I believe. I got it early last week though.

As for CN here (UK), they ran a marathon of the last series last week. No idea over there though.
bah, not out until the 22nd (tomorrow) here. drat.

My mistake. That wasn't an ad break, that was the start of 22.
That's weird, none of the episode descriptions make mention of Wat Tambor..............

Darn, looked up my T.V. listings, no Clone Wars.

ARC Troopers rescuing Ki-Adi-Mundi on Hypori.

Qui-Gon and Anakin.

Anakin becoming a Jedi Knight.

Nuff 'said.

Republic Star Destroyers deploying ARC-170 fighters.

The invasion of Kashyyyk...

...and the Ortolan homeworld.

Dooku training General Grievous.
Can't wait for these, but I don't have cable, so I have to.

However, the episodes will be going up online a day after they're aired, just like last time:

Thanks for the screenshots, Charles.

So Anakin has a flashback of Qui-Gon?
Thread Starter
No, it's Yoda. Basically, it's a replay of the tree scene from ESB, only with Qui-Gon and Anakin instead of Yoda and Luke, right down to the reprise of 'Only what you take with you.' Then it flashes out and we see Yoda in his chamber opening his eyes.
I love those ARC-170's. Just love 'em.
Does that Nelvaan stuff fit in with Labyrinth of Evil? I can't remember. Also, LOE seemed to indicate the assault on Coruscant was a last-minute Palpatine distraction because the Jedi were getting too close to his Sidious identity. This seems to say differently.
Those pictures: Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!

Qui Gon has a huge nose, it must be noted!
These guys MUST make feature-length animated "movies" that tell everything from KOTOR days on through The New Republic. Just stellar, all around.
It's up on hyperspace. If you have it, you can save it by doing save as on this link (must be logged in)

Was that flashback with Anakin and Qui-gon real or imagined by Yoda? Judging by the events of TPM they only knew each other for like a week or two, so when did that tree deal happen?
Damn, I missed it! Stupid TV shows running over their filming times, making me miss real TV shows that I actually want to see...

*shakes fist*

I don't suppose anyone's nice enough to have a QT file for non-HS people?

I know of no direct links, but there are torrents if you know where to look.

I saw it on hyperspace and there's no long haired Anakin yet ... was that an ad instead? It ends with him in the starfighter, and there's a "next ..." preview with Dooku and Greiviuos.

Yeah I fucked up. What I thought was an ad break was the beginning of Ch 22. UK Toonami showed both 21 and 22 today.

WORD UP!

ARC Troopers kick ass.
What's so special about ARC troopers?

I'm not saying they're nothing special......i've only seen a few bits of Clone Wars and I don't know what diffrentiates them from regular troopers, are they some kind of Space S.W.A.T. team?!

Yeah, Advanced Reconnaisance Commandos.

Essentially the special forces of the Republic.
Cooooooooooool, too bad they don't show the new season of Clone Wars here yet........can't find a torrent for it.

Fucking awesome! Loved Yoda's flashback or whatever with Qui-gon and young Anakin. Very cool how it paralelled Luke's darkcave visit.

Anakin's annoitment scene was classic.

"Impressive. Most impressive."

I take back what I said about the music being ho-hum. I re-watched CV Vol. 1 and there was plenty to listen to.

These things are great and I feel sorry for anyone who can't get behind them. Great stuff in here!

My future wish is I hope we can see some stories of the birth of the Rebellion in the same format. Old man Jedi Master Luke would be fine as well.

More Wookiees, please.
Chapter 23 was shown this morning in the UK after Ch22, showed the begining of the invasion of Coruscant with cool visual action from Mace, yoda and the ARCS and a genuinely funny moment from 3PO (well, I laughed anyway.)

Also, this episode appears to go someway towards explaining the tattooed Anakin Mustafar figure from teh Insider fold out ad.

So far the series has been outstanding, the same quality as the first volume with more emotional depth and characterisation.

This was amazing. The Coruscant stuff... holy god.

I don't see how it relates to the Mustafar figure. The tattoo covered his face too, and it doesn't in the film. I also don't think he was even tattooed on that figure, it's just the way it looks from him burnt to a crisp.
Nah man, you're right, having looked at the figure again it looks more like it's just his glove that's burnt away to reveal the black/gold mech-arm. Just sowing seeds...

Roll on tomorrow morning for CH24, definitely worth being late for work for. The Coruscant invasion was everything I expected after LOE, hopefully we'll see Grievous escaping with the Chancellor in the next one.
Chapter 21 is up at cartoonnetwork.com for those that missed it or that don't want to mess with torrents. Windows media streaming, and slow, but it's there.
3-22 episode was fantastic! The comraderie between Anakin and Obi Wan is beautiful. The dramatic pay-off of course will come in ROTS.

If anyone can answer this i would appreciate it, as much as I dug it, I don't know the point.

Qui Gon and young Anakin at the Dark Cave. How did Yoda have a flashback to something that never happened?
