If anyone can answer this i would appreciate it, as much as I dug it, I don't know the point.

Qui Gon and young Anakin at the Dark Cave. How did Yoda have a flashback to something that never happened?
I took it to be a symbolic vision rather than a flashback.

I'm getting kind of tired of the stupid Clone Trooper commando stuff. Hand gestures, pump-action laser rifles, giant quad-barrelled, uh, chest guns. And for pete's sake, when your show's only fifteen minutes long, maybe you should cut down on the pose-striking a bit.

Chapter 23 screengrabs:

Yoda takes a gander at this morning's traffic report.

Threepio made me chortle.

Mace decides to pimp his own ride.

Nicodemous from Secret of NIMH is alive and well telling ghost stories to young campers.

See all those white specks? Those ain't stars--they're battling star destroyers. Imagine how this is gonna look on the big screen.

Just a fucking cool shot.

Continued in next post...

The gigantic dick of the Republic sends forth its seed unto the unsuspecting egg of the Seperatists.

Seriously, there's this whole impregnation motif going on that's both weird yet extremely befitting.

For anyone who was yearning for more Yoda kickassness (I know I was)...

This is for you.

Simply kick ass.

That makes one of you.

Catching the episodes on tv makes all the difference. If there's one thing I'd like to see them change, it's the constant in-joke use of lines from the original movies. Sure, it was funny once, maybe twice, but in Chapter 22, it seemed like there were half a dozen of those lines, and it goes from being kind of funny to seeming forced and uncreative. If these stories are supposed to be part of the continuity, it would be nice if the characters were consistent and didn't seem like someone's idea of a joke all the time.

That said, the Dooku/Grievous stuff was cool.

Commander Cody was great, "Right on schedule"

I wasn't too fond of that music they had at the beginning, nor that native american like planet at the end, but this is great stuff!

I wonder how much different Grievious voice will be in the movie, the version they have here is not bad, but I'm hoping it's a little bit more different.

CH 24 -

The Shaak-Ti defence of Palpatine was fun, and the train stuff was cool, but I got a bit bored. I think a lot had to do with the fact that Palps was being defended by three pretty dull Jedi, and I started to root for Grievous and his guards. The Anakin stuff was great, especially the cave painting sequence. That was just amazing.

He sounds like Megatron's little brother. Which ain't so bad.

Well, you do remember what Grievous does to those Jedi (in LOE), right? Brutal stuff.
Having no cable, and having problems getting the episode to download yesterday, I just now saw episode 21.

I just watched the Volume 1 DVD last night, and while I like it, I think this is a huge leap forward from the previous installments. The episode has room to breathe, room for pauses and actual character development. It sings.

I bet all parties now wish they'd gone with the longer format from the get-go.
Watched Chapters 21-23, watching them you wish Vol. 1 was in 15 minute blocks so you could have more character development, simply cool stuff.

Need Chapter 24/25...........now

The cave painting sequence in 24 is amazing.
Who's the viking-looking guy with the Republic troops? He is apparently a Jedi, he has a lightsaber. His armor is almost like the White-Knight version of Vader. Very odd, but cool.

Saesee Tinn. This guy:

Sure would be nice to see the animator's version in ROTS. Do you think we will? Since this is the opening of the movie, basically.
Kit Fisto talking in Chapter 21 during the council meeting cracked me up for some reason.

That it is, the finest piece of foreshadowing used throughout the entire Star Wars saga for me. (That is if I'm reading it right, obviously.)

I thought nothing could improve that episode after seeing Grievous clear Palp's office but I was so wrong. The tension and excitement really ramps up all the way through this episode, cant' wait to see the pay-off tomorrow night.

Episode 23...WOW.

Carl - Any idea if Lucas Arts has a video game based on this, or at least another wave of action figures? Must have Saesse Tin in Viking Armor. Must have blue ARC Trooper with mini-gun.
Sean, there is talk of a LucasArts game of some kind based on the CW animated stuff, but nothing solid yet. I am hoping we hear something by the E3 Expo in May or perhaps shortly afterwards.

As for toys... Hasbro has not announced anything officially yet, but I am hearing there is new stuff in the works there as well. There are tons they could make. I'd personally like to see more clones, an Obi-Wan in clone gear, and that badass WWII Flying Tiger-inspired Republic Gunship from Chapter 21.

Gentle Giant will be releasing a new series of CW maquettes (Grievous, Anakin, and a Baris Offee/Luminara Unduli double) sometime this year.

Agreed. The first five minutes of Chapter 21 is perhaps the coolest moment in CW to date. (of course this may change once Wat Tambor shows up!!) Completely bad ass.

Speaking of bad ass - how 'bout the ARC Trooper holding his own against the onslaught in Chapter 23!

I love this show!

Thanks for the info Carl. You remain CHUD's resident Jedi Master!
Best action sequence in all of the Clone Wars is the space battle lead by Sasee Tinn and his spaceman cloners.

Fucking awesome!

Yoda's power personified as he forces the ships to crash into each other.

Brilliant stuff.

Go watch something else.

So, did they wrap Volume II up yet Fett? Or is it still on Chapter 24/25 or whatever?

Nah, they showed 23/24 again, so 25 tomorrow.

Those are the same movies posted on the official site
http://www.starwars.com/beyondthemovies/

They're the lower resolution counter parts to the Hyperspace ones.

Watched episode 24, the battle stuff with the Magnaguards is awesome, and Obi-Wan fights 4+ of them in the film, neat characters, excelletn weapons.

Sign of things to come [Screencap of Chapter 24, mild spoilers]

*Geep*
That was awesome! Loved the Ithorian Jedi!

I was getting worried with the whole Anakin and "the mother" stuff, specially the animation on the cave painting, but now it pays off really well and we get to see our favorite Wat like aliens.

I'm just dissapointed that's not actually our friend Wat, looks like some of his friends.
Grievous and his henchmen chasing the Jedi guarding Palpatine was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. That whole fight scene was simply awesome, especially the part where they're duelling between the speeding trains.
This episode rocked! I can only hope Grievous does as many cool things in the film as in the cartoon.
Oh boy, where do I begin??? Total kickassalicious! I loved the fight bewteen the gaurds and the jedi as well. I loved how Shaak Ti just pushed that gaurd into the oncoming train like she didn;t even care, total badass.
Now with more WAT!!
What I love is how they portray the clone troopers in this series. Total badass ...

Hammerhead Jedi rocks! That kid with the four eyes was awesome too. Both aliens from the Cantina in ANH.

A total blast. This constant fawning is getting tiresome.
Ch. 24 was more impressive than any of the previous episodes. The Grievous chase scene had me riveted. The nonhuman Jedi were made totally believable in combat and were very sympathetic characters in their silent, selfless devotion. I really feared for them. Does this scene play out the same way in Labyrinth of Evil?
I still think Chapter 21 is the best so far.

So is this their natural ability, or their ability augmented by the force. Cool use of this alien species.

I think the sequence of events in this is quite different to the novel btw.
The details differ from the novel, yes... but it's basically the same thing (Shaak Ti and a group of Jedi escorting Palpatine while Grievous and his MagnaGuards pursue). I believe this came directly from Lucas during his discussions with Luceno and the CW Animated team.

Chapter 25 just finished. Wow,

After all that, I don't think that was Wat Tambor. If you watch the ep, you'll know why.

More great stuff, really. Can't wait to see how Grievous matches up in the film.
Not Wat, huh? Bummer. I guess it was just a group of random Skakoans then.
Superb episode with some stunning action scenes. One thing though: if Mace can damage Grievous so easily by using the Force, you have to wonder why the other Jedi didn't do the same thing.
They tried.
But why didn't they succeed? Is Mace really that more powerful?
Not that it really matters. I very much enjoyed these shorts.

Yeah, Mace is second only to Yoda. He also has some kind of Dark Side fighting method (Vaapad), although I'm not sure how much that comes in when dealing with The Force.

Man, Shaak got OWNED.

Yeah, Mace's fighting style seems more brutal than that of other Jedi. I really dig those machinegun punches.
I really really really want to see more Star Wars Cartoons from these guys. Maybe there could be a series set in the years between ANH and ESB. There seems to be a lot of open space for stories there.

It depends how serious LFL is with concern to Dark Horse/Marvel's place in the canon really. Archie Goodwin and Al Williamson did a SW strip that basically ran the gamut from Yavin IV to Hoth. It's all collected as Classic Star Wars, three volumes. Good stuff, too.
