Splinter Cell supports some advanced XBox Live features we've come to know, love, and sometimes loathe from Halo 2. The very best news for everyone who suffered through Pandora Tomorrow's clunky match-maker interface is... Chaos Theory now supports Squads (the sleuthy version of H2's Clans). This may solve one of the lingering problems with PT... the fact that almost everyone on XBox Live is 1) an insufferable prick, and 2) twelve years old. It's best to always team up with someone you know.
CHUD Squad should help us do that, by giving us a list of who is online and willing to play from CHUD. Also, you can participate in squad matches, in which two people from our squad partner up and take on players from other squads, or against other people in our own squad. It's basically a way of making sure you can find at least one reasonably mature person to play Versus mode with.
As far as I can tell the Squad feature doesn't extend to co-op mode (bummer).
Here's the details: Squad name is CHUD (duh). I have to send invitations out to whomever wants to join. I'll try to invite the usual suspects from last year's Pandora Tomorrow sessions and people who've been participating in the Splinter Cell post-release thread. If anyone else wants in, and you don't see an invitation in the next day or two, post a response here with your Live handle. My own handle is in my signature below.
EDIT: Apparently I either have to play a game with you or have you on my friends list in order you to recruit you into the Squad. If you want into the squad send me a friend invitation along with your post in this thread.
