Delayed Sin City Whinge Thread

Is it possible that Sin City will be released on August 11 in Australia?

That's what the 'downunder' report is saying over at aintitcool.com (http://aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=19863) and it's backed up by the imdb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401792/releaseinfo).

Looks AUS is gretting royally screwed, but some other countries are still relatively bad with June and July releases.

I'm pretty pissed. Mainly because My most anticipated movie of last year (Hellboy) got a similar treatment, and now we are getting it again with another 'cult' Dark Horse comic.

Hopefully someone will get their shit together and release it in May. I assume one of the big problems is they have scheduled it to come out the week after Revenge Of The Sith and a fear that it will get swamped by that movie.

Anyway, if there are any other Australian or non-US chuddites who are feeling like they are getting a raw deal, feel free to chime in.

I feel your pain Colossus.

I asked about Sin City last night when I picked up my Star Wars tickets and they said it was on track for May 12 here in NZ. I hope they dont push it back I NEED to see this flick.

I might have to fly back home for this one... comes out in the UK in June and I am having serious trouble holding my breath for it.

Swings and round-a-bouts I guess - we got the Incredibles a month ahead of NZ - but this is my most anticipated film of the year (well... this half of the year) and I was gutted when I saw the release date.

So - yeah - I feel your pain.

so sad that my very most anticipated movie of the last year or so will now be watched.... AS A DOWNLOAD.

FUCK THEM, FUCK THEM IN THEIR ASSES, TONIGHT THE WAIT IS OVER BECAUSE I AM GOING TO DOWNLOAD IT.

what kind of bullshit is that? gets released in the 4th month or the year in the states, then the 8th fucking month here? fuck them! download time!

and you know i mean it, because i never download movies. ever.

Well, I fucking knew it would happen. I just called around a couple of cinemas to check whether Sin City would still be out on the 12th .. lo and behold I get a new date of August 18th laid on me.

Fuck.

Kids, just be glad you don't live at the arse-end of the world like I do.

I don't feel so bad now... at least the posters are starting to appear in the tube stations with the date on them now. They can't go back on that now...

Huh. What do you know, "whinge" is a real word. We crazy colonials use "whine".

Anyway, carry on, so sorry about the Sin City delay, it's a great fucking movie and worth the wait to see it on a proper big screen, etc.

This reminds me of when i was young and heard for what seemed like an age about Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom before i finally got to see the fucking thing....on video!
I never wanted to feel this fragile, alone and scared again.
