I still maintain that "Motherfreakin' Ukrainians" from the Italian Job remake is still one of the worst lines around.

What, hundred-some-odd posts in and nobody has mentioned "But I was going to Toschi station to pick up some power converters!" ?

That was the landmark beginning of Lucas's abusive relationship with dialogue.

Plan Nine's been touched on with the "And somebody's responsible!" bit, but that film is an embarassment of riches. Actually, it's an embarassment in many ways, but anyway, my two favourites are:

"Visitations? But that would imply...visitors!"

And of course:

"You see? Your stupid minds! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!"

I don't think it's possible to top Criswell's opening monologue:

"We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives. And remember my friend, future events such as these will affect you in the future."

Either complete rubbish or absolute genius. Quite possibly both.
