Tales from the Crypt: Season 1 [July 12th]

No extras yet....

I recently watched Bordello of Blood and although strictly a guilty pleasure type of film ["You're putting that heart into the vampire woman who'll surely kill me? Alright, i'll just stand here and watch"] It made me rmember the series that was on Fox [and apprantly HBO]. I rmember watching these when I was little and can remember one episode that always stuck with me where the whole episode was from the POV of a deadman. I really liked it when I was little, so I was just wondering what the general opinion is on the show from you, the chewers. Every so often I see the cartoon version on Teletoon, ranges from interesting to stupid [Teens get shrunk into ANTS!]

P.S. Demon Knight scared the hell out of me. [I was 9, heh]

Good cover art.

The show was good stuff up until the last two seasons. Nothing ever really scared me as much as the Santa Claus episode, though.

One of the best episodes is the one with the gunslinger who walks into a saloon after a showdown, and gets confronted by all his victims. Surprised the hell out of me me how this show spawned something that great until I got older and found out it was written by one Mr. Frank Darabont.

This set is long overdue. Lets hope the extras do it justice.

Sounds good, i'm just surfing tvtome looking at the episode details. Season 1 only has 6 episodes, that hardly seems like much for a season set, hopefully they'll follow up quickly. Hope they'll keep the price down.

Arnie directed an episode, astonishing.

Let's hope the Episodes are uncut as well then, rather than the butchered versions...and I got the feeling these are the butchered ones (Surely they would've plastered Uncensored! all over the cover if it was).

Why would they NEED to make an "Uncensored" version of a show that was first run on cable for 8 seasons uncensored?

Rest your sphincter. They won't alter a damn thing.

Maybe because it was then butchered when put into syndication. And lest we forget, this is 'Warner Brothers' putting out the DVD, not HBO.

There were a few VHS tapes put out (Also by the WB) that were cut, so it isn't totally unbelieveable.
