There are plenty of fuckwits on this board who don't get abuse threads of their very own, so i can only assume this is due to Jabba's 'history'. I am ignorant of this history. For the sake of openness, could someone like to point me in the right direction of this history?

Since his return (as signalled by a mildly arrogant 'i have returned' thread), his posts have seemed fairly open and reasonable, at least by the standards of message boards and defintiely as relative to the MattCG's of this world.


So, please, what am I missing, or are certain board members, Andre, just being mean.

Well, asking questions about the worth of reviews is a decent topic for a thread. 'defining a masterpiece' is an interesting question as there are always a lot of phrases bandied about with abandon without proper definition - masterpiece, genius, piece of shit, and so on. 'writing' seems to be just asking a question about how people approach doing creative things - a valid question to a group of people who often bandy about their artistic credentials.
He hasn't, to my eyes, added any great insight yet, but then the threads are mostly questions. They seem honest enough - with no Maus-style hidden agendas behind the reasonableness that i have detected. Why not pick of Anyname's coloured typing and illiterate polls - far more pointless and annoying than anything Jim has done recently.

So, again, why him? What context am I missing? Make it explicit, have at it, don't spare anyone's blushes.

Jesus H. Christ, you guys are a pack of fucking predators. The moment that someone shows a single weak spot you move in for the kill. From what I've read of Jabba's posts since his return he's been completely inoffensive and harmless, so why the hell are you guys, normally courteous and (generally) respectful posters treating him like dog shit? Because you can? This behavior is no different from the bullying that kept most of you beaten down all the way through school. Maybe in the past Jabba pissed you guys off, but that's no reason to attack him now when he's done nothing to deserve it.

This is a public forum, read by a lot of people including many you consider to be your peers. Maybe you should go back and take a look at the venom you've spewed at this guy and think about whether or not that's how you want to be seen.

He was banned previously for being a complete fucking train wreck. I give people I know second and third chances to mend their ways, not unreasonable, attention-seeking, homophobic potheads with multiple, undertreated mood disorders on message boards. Just wait. He will get worse.

Maybe he will, maybe he won't. You obviously know him better than I do, but from what we've seen since he's returned he's been decent and hasn't caused any real trouble. He may get worse as time goes on, but I think we can all agree there is a lesser chance of that happening as long as he isn't being constantly hounded and antagonized.
