I was late to the game and had to get 6 tickets to the 12:15 showing.....Going to the same theater I saw TPM at..

heh. midnight on May 19th, Fayetteville, NC, Marketfair, stadium seating.

It really does seem like alot of people hate star wars just because they think its the "cool" thing to do. Yeah i HATE fucking star wars, i gots more cred, bitches! You gotta be scene to be seen.

Like if you love star wars you're automatically a rabid fan boy geek loser.

I'm seeing it at 12:01 am and then again at 3:30 in the afternoon of the 19th. I took the day off. I'm going to the Huebner Oaks theater which is one of the best in San Antonio, but that's not saying much.

I expect the sound will be great, by I'm not holding out much hope for a nice, bright projection. I just don't know of any theaters around here that don't dim the bulbs and I'm ready to give up on worrying about it and try learning to live with shitty muddy-looking cinema. It's the way of the future, apparently.

But I bet that Arclight's real nice, huh. I'm envious.

Thursday 19th May at 9pm at the Village 7 cinema complex on Ward St, downtown Hamilton, New Zealand. Not the greatest cinema by any stretch of the imagination, but traditional (I saw the previous 2 and LOTR there). Plenty of midnight tickets left if I so choose, but most of my friends can't make it to that so I probably won't bother.

Midnight tix to at AMC 24 Theater in Orange Park, FL. I am RIDICULOUSLY pumped! I pray to God everyone in that theater cheers like maniacs when the theme music hits and the STAR WARS logo comes flying out, cuz I DAMN SURE will be. I've waited 3 years for this movie, fuck that, I'm letting it all out that night! But like the guy up there said, everyone better close their cocksuckers once the space battle starts. I dont wanna hear one word even whispered.

any fans from Jacksonville here? I'll be there with my cousins and my mom. Cant wait!

I haven't gotten my tickets yet because we would have to find a relative to stay with our girls, but still, I'm not sure if I want to do the midnight thing. Sometimes I rather wait a bit so I get better seats, and a theater that is not packed by morons. I remember when they released the Special Edition, I had a moron on the back that I had to shut up because he was narrating the whole movie to his friend.

I also don't want to be all tired while watching the movie ... but sounds like a fun experience still ...

Dude, I'm paying 11 bucks for a matinee. Trust me, it's better than nice. After 6pm it's 14 bucks but well worth it. The whole vibe of the place is just fucking magical, but I wont ever see anything other than an event picture there because I'm a broke mofo.
Amen to that.

I have tix for Midnight at West Covina, (fuckers from liningup got all the midnight tix) Then I have tix for the 3:30 am showing at the Dome which is almost sold-out. Then the 20th I will see it finally digital at the Arclight.

I booked tickets for TPM a month in advance. On the night, around 15% of the seats weren't occupied. I booked tickets for AOTC the morning before without any problems. I expect I’ll do the same for ROTS.

picked up 4 tickets for the midnight show at the AMC 24 oldsmar in florida....they've sold out three screens so far and are expecting close to six full theaters.....the AMC 24 pleasure Island in Disney sold out four screens at midnight and have now added a 3:30AM showing......if I had known this I would have taken that thurs off and driven out to mouseland.

Now the question is......What time do I show up at the theaters on May 18th.....the girl that sold me the tickets said they expect the lines to start around 6:30

I wouldn't show up more than an hour early.

I would do that only if I wanted to sit in the worst seat in the theater.

The current plan is to head out to the theater around 8.....grab something to eat and probably get in line around 9ish.

You're cracked. There are several theaters (in my area at least) having a midnight showing. Having stood in line for the other two episodes (and with the diminished interest in this one by the GENERAL public) I know I can safely be an hour, hour and a half early AT MOST.
Congratulations to you and YOUR area. I assure you in MY area, the fans start the line at about noon-ish. They did it for TPM (which I did not see at midnight). And for AOTC (got there at 6 and got about mid-line...out of a huge fucking line), and they will do it for this movie too. I'll be there with about 8 friends with a cooler full of provisions, lawn chairs, portable DVD players (abd star wars DVDS o'coarse), and my ticket safely in my pocket.

People make standing in line sound boring, but to me its half the fun. Besides we will not be "standing in line." We will be relaxing on a nice May afternoon, throwing back cold ones, gearing up for what could be the best star wars movie ever. Even if the movie is not great, I know I will not regret standing in line for it.

I've got my tickets for the May 21st showing at the Rave Motion Pictures DLP Theater in Hoover(Birmingham), Alabama.

OK, we have a babysitter! So now I'm looking for theaters, my best bet is the one almost next door which is the Muvico in New Tampa. Unfortunatly they don't have a digital screen :-( However, I'm thinking maybe it's better to just watch the movie now and enjoy it and then catch it in digital in a theater like the one in Downtown Disney .

I have no idea what the line will be like at this theater, I know if I tell my wife we have to make a line for 5+ hours she's going to call the whole thing off! So I'll have to figure out something ...

Anyways, anybody know of a good list of digital theaters, I went here, but I think it's way off;

I bought my tickets about a week ago for the midnight showing at the Lumina theater in Chapel Hill, NC. I'm going to be there early with some friends and tailgate in the parking lot until the lines start to form.

I'm probably going to go and pick up my tickets at the Ziegfeld this Thursday after work so it just dawned on me that I'll be able to see the folks over there who are lined up and waiting. I think I heard something about it recently on the news over here and it was kind of cool in that they're actually doing it and raising money for such and such charity. I'm sure there are people there just for the hell of it too.

I can't see myself doing something like that. I'm anal about getting to the theater early so I can get a good seat, stuff like that, but I can't line up for days or weeks beforehand. The sense of community is cool, but I think I'd lose my mind.

No tickets. I've stated again and again I won't buy tickets to the midnight show. A friend of mine offered to buy tickets for me, and to that I shrugged and said, "Sure," but I have no idea if he actually bought the tickets or not.

I figure I'll catch it at a matinee so I don't have to pay full price, nor will I lose any sleep over it.

12:01 AM Majestic 6 in Stamford CT

A group of friends and I went to the midnight showing for AotC and had an absolute blast. Nothing like seeing a film like this with the real fans. We decided right after the show that night that we'd be there for Ep. III. And so we will.

Got tickets for my wife and I at the Muvico in New Tampa.

I decided to skip the digital version for now and just enjoy the experience, this will be the first time I catch a midnight showing.

I've been to the theater in Pinellas, but it's too far away. I'll catch it there later, because I really liked the quality of the digital projection. But hopefully the excietment of opening night more than makes up for the image quality loss :-)

Tickets for the midnight show go on sale at my theater on Tuesday at 3:45pm.
I got 2 tickets to 1 of the added shows at 12:15am Wednesday night (added shows do not even go on sale to the general public until tonight) at the Arclight in L.A. After I got a ticket to one of the local theaters here in Riverside, but I sold that one to a guy at work.
