Why do some threads get locked, and other ones do not? I'm particularly curious about why the "What does PWN3D mean" thread got locked, or the Ann Coulter one? Sorry if this is in a FAQ somewhere I'm unaware of, I'm just curious... no offense to the locking parties, or the admin here.

From what I can tell, the Anne Coulter thread was in the wrong forum, and the pwnd thread contained a lot of remote linking, a no-no here on the site.

I believe the forums are coded to automatically lock any thread that has the name Ann Coulter in it.

You mean, like linking to ... *gasp* ... other sites??? I've never heard of this, there's a limit as to how much outside material one can provide links to? Is this a new rule???

It seems less offensive than the copying of articles that takes regular place in these forums ...

I think she means more linking directly to other people's pictures and thus using their bandwidth.

Exactly. If you want to put an actual picture in the body of your post, make sure YOU'RE hosting the pic, not leeching it from someone else's site.

What about the thread with punches, that takes me over a minute to fully load, why's it not locked eh? EH!? (unless it is, then I'll shut up)

Gah, Phuckbucket, for some inane reason I'm blocked from seeing any images hosted there, I have to proxify to see anything, I cant explain how aggravating that is...
