You could have submitted that news in the same time it took you to start this thread.

How do you submit news?

It is kinda hidden, but if you scroll down on this page, under the "Main Navigation" header there is a "Submit Scoop" link. It's basically an email link to send the scoop to the bigwigs.

It just kinda helps the whole place move along and get the info to all the others that don't usually cruise the boards like we do.

And to give Devin an opportunity to yell at people.

I take it this is about the TV show on Spike TV? Could be cool. He's pretty suited for the small screen I'd say, and maybe the Michael Jai White lovers will finally get a chance to see their guy in action. I still think they could do a lot better, even on television. I'm looking forward to it though.

TV Whistler = Lance Henrickson

This is of course if they start fresh and don't follow the events of the last couple films, and why on Earth would they want to? As for Blade, I could see Jai White but I agree there are better choices. I would not want him to leave THE SHIELD but Michael Jace would be a kick ass Blade. The guy who plays Curtis on 24, I think his last name is Cross, would also be a good choice.

Oooh, good one. I'd watch that.

I highly doubt he'd take it at all, but Mario Van Peebles could be a sweet Blade. He's about the stature of actor these days, a possible star on TV, but a fading movie star. And he has the hops and presence to make it worth watching. I mean, if Bokeem Woodbine gets this I'm going to cry. Its really sad there aren't more obvious and plentiful candidates.

Yea, the black guy on 24 would seem good, but I don't kow if he has the acting range....but he definently has the look. But if he's in the next season of 24, his schedule may not allow it.

Michael Jai White is perfect for this. I don't have much faith in it but if done right it'd be great. I wonder how far they would push the violence?

Peebles would be awesome, I think he's about on the level to where he'd do it. Make some cash on a series like this and then direct the kind of movies he's really interested in during the hiatus. I actually like Bokeem Woodbine but not for this role, too lean. My big fear would be if they go the rapper route and cast DMX or Ja Rule (shudder).

I don't think the violence would be toned down that much. Since it's with Spike you can bet they'd want to make an impression with this show, they've yet to really have any fictional show break out since they started.

Yeah, Peebles is my top choice. He has the presence, and he's an unjustly ignored actor capable of great work ("Ali" was just a magnificent performance). This could be a good shot in the arm for his career, and he has the age to sort of make it a continuation. Let's see what Blade is like down the road, not just do a Crow-like rehash of the films.

In this case, the injustice of the world works in our favor. Sad to admit, DMX and Ja Rule are probably too "big" to be on the show, they're both playing in big budget films and have pretty thriving music careers. Both of which would probably stand in the way of a committment like this. I could see them getting a rapper, but that wouldn't be terrible if they have skills. I mean 2Pac, Mos Def, Will Smith, Ice Cube, and even P.Diddy made very impressive transitions to acting.

I just really want to see them go older. At least comparable to Snipes. In that category though the list gets pretty slim.
