Club Dread Unrated

I did not know if I should put this here or in the Creature Corner so here goes...

I was wondering if any fans of Broken Lizard's Club Dread have picked up the Unrated Cut of the film. What are the differences between the two? More perverse humor , more nudity, or more of Bill Paxton's character? If anybody has some info the that would be appreciated.

Hopefully some good scenes. I loved SUPER TROOPERS, but this was a poor movie.

The movie overall added scenes with two inspectors who come to the island to investigate claims of murder. There is also a lot added as far as padding the story a bit. I don't seem to recall more nudity, but there are a few good jokes that slip in that were left out of the original cut. Overall it is a better experience since you get more of the full story. Still does not live up to Super Troopers, but it can be apprecaited on its own.

The DVD also offers other deleted scenes and extras that were not on the barebones theatrical cut DVD.

Oddly enough, one scene was actually removed from the Unrated version. The scene removed is of Lars and Jenny searching the one room for evidence and finding the sex toy. The rest of the film remains intact, with the additional footage.

the scene with the two cops on the boat is hilarious and i can't believe they didn't leave it in the theatrical.

and there is NO EXTRA NUDITY, as far as i can tell.

i like the movie, not as man laughs as Super Troopers though i agree.

I agree. The scene with the two cops actually added something to the plot of the film as well. I guess with Broken Lizard you really don't watch the films for plot though, now do we. Still, great scene. Too bad it ended up only on the Unrated cut of a film that no one saw and even less liked. A true and utter shame.

Go rent it people, its good!

Ugh. I think Super Troopers is a modern comedy classic, but this movie was just terrible. I wanted to like it. I wanted to so bad. I even saw it on opening weekend.

Unrated or not, it's a bad, bad movie.

Ultimately, I love Super Troopers more but nowadays, Club Dread makes me crack up more. Oddness.

Club Dread was good in it's own way.

Club Dread is the better comedy

Super Troopers was a riotously hilarious movie. Club Dread was pretty disappointing the first time, but its aburd spoofing of horror movies gets more amusing each time you see it. Surprised that a movie like that wouldn't load up on extra nudity in the unrated version, but I guess they already had plenty in the original.

I guess I can understand people not liking it overall, but not liking ANY of it is just plain wrong. The Pac-Man maze drinking game alone is worth renting it for(among other things).
I guess I'm the only one who thinks the two movies are pretty much on par, I dig 'em both.

actually ur right. both movies are amazing. my comment on Dread being better was a reaction to so many people shittin on it. plus me and my buddies watched it about 23 times when it first came out so it is fresher in my mind and we all quote it and love it. but i cant deny super troopers is goddamn great too. so i love both of them and have an intense dislike for club dread haters.
