The Thing: Collector's Edition question

Okay, just bought this the other day. This is the package with the clear cover and the screaming face in the ice. Now inside the front cover is a slot that would seem to hold some sort of booklet or insert, but there's nothing. Have I been gypped? Or is this where I'm supposed to store the results of my friends' blood tests?

I noticed the same thing when I bought the Gatefold Edition of House of 1000 Corpses. I wondered if maybe they just forgot to insert it. Obviously wasn't going to buy another copy to test my theory. This has got my curiosity all piqued again...

I'm sure it'd be easy to take it back to BB and have them open another one for me if mine is missing something. But there's no point in going back if nothing's missing.

Nothing's missing from your version of THE THING. However, there was a booklet in the old non-anamorphic release.

That's been the trend with a lot of DVDs for awhile now. A place for an insert sans the insert.

Fuckers.

Yeah or they'll actually surprise you and have an insert... listing more shit you can buy.
