what's everyone's thought on the best Star Wars collector's item of all-time, keeping the original price under $10? mine just might be this june's issue of playboy, with bai ling rocking the light saber on the cover . since it's been announced that she's been cut from the movie,i'm banking on the value going up (sort of like that dale murphy error card upper deck put out in '89)

DARTH TATER - no doubt.

"Together we shall rule as father and spud." That rocks.

Of all time? Gotta be my copy of "The Star Wars Album", a quickie paperback picture-book from November of '77. That book taught my third-grade self how to appreciate movies.

Second place? Jar Jar 'Monster Mouth' candy. It's a plastic Jar Jar head on a stick and when you push the plunger his mouth opens and a pink candy tongue pops out. I guess you're supposed to french him. It's the most disgusting thing I own. It's also the only piece of Episode I memorabilia I own.

Mine has to be the Star Wars disco record. One whole side was just crazy disco music with laser gun sounds thrown in all over the place. It made the perfect soundtrack to a day of jumping around the basement pretending to be Luke. Plus, the other side had the Cantina song.

Oh my God, it's on cd......and you can listen to some samples.

The Christmas in the Stars album has that beat. I mean, it's got Jon Bon Jovi on it!

I'd have to say the best collector item ever would be the binder containing all the Star Wars scripts hand-written by George himself. This binder can be seen on the first webdoc "All I need is an Idea" on the TPM DVD. He also wrote American Graffti in that binder. I'm sure binder and all the paper wouldn't cost over $10. What's written within would be priceless.

I was a member of the Star Wars fan club when I was a kid. Even got some of the "Bantha Tracks" still somewhere. Anyway, they always sent out these collector's patches and I still have one that says "Revenge of the Jedi." It's black and red. It's pretty cool to look at knowing that every possible thing was pulled labeled with that title shortly thereafter. Granted it's not the greatest collector's item but very unique nonetheless.

The below link isn't mine but shows what it looks like.

It's not officially licensed, but the custom built Tantive IV scaled to the 12" figures that was the size of a very large conversion van is probably going to be hard to beat. The guy was selling it on ebay a couple years ago, though I can't find a picture of it now. It was basically the size of a parade float, made to fit action figures. Ridiculous, but impressive.

A friend recently loaned me a copy of Christmas in the Stars... terrible.
