I Eat Lies

Skinbone Starbuck Rockstar
Being fed by your IPOD I.V.
Engorged with information
And jerking it off to the hotel queen
Real life, real doll
With a hitman's deadeye stare
I remember life before cable
Before the vaporware

Sex, drugs, and rock n' roll
Ain't nothing more than a soda pop slogan
Take it, you can have it
Your currency is vacancy

No I'm not beautiful
But I'm not frozen from never having chosen
Never ate a person I didn't like
But if the seasoning is right...
I eat lies

Moppet head did your mirror commit suicide
Philip Dick had the wrong thing mind
Remember it for me retail
Got drafted by Old Navy and taken from behind
Realtime, fake life
swallow the bait with your DSL
I remember life before Covey
And his store bought Hell

Sex, drugs, and rock n' roll
Ain't nothing more than past date pastime
Take it, you can have it
It's the currency of vacancy

No I'm not beautiful
But I'm not frozen from never having chosen
Never ate a person I didn't like
But if the seasoning is right...
I eat lies

Me too. However, no one else seems to.

This one is rough and it works great.

I really like this band because everyone involved seems to work so well together and you guys mix things up without losing quality.

Everyone involved should be proud of this and I want more.

I'll offer up a bit of constructive criticism, if I may. Keep in mind, I listened to this song twice, about a week ago, so these opinions aren't very fresh. I like parts of the song very much, but being as it's a bit midtempo, and the melody line in Nick's vocals doesn't really vary too much, maybe you guys would consider adding another part, a bridge, or an alternate hook of some sort. I would say it's 85% there, you have a great base to work with, but again, I feel like there's some other part lurking there to give the song the anti-hipster edge it sounds like you're searching for. Nice solo work too, by the way, is that mostly Micah?

Micah kicked ass on the song. Here's the thing, we don't record multiple versions of songs. We're not pros and the demand is nil. We do them and put them out there. I agree to some extent and appreciate the feedback.

We are hated!

Good Lord No! Please don't misinterpret anything I said as dislike, if I didn't like the song I wouldn't have said a word. Also, if I knew you guys weren't about re-recording or reduxing songs, I wouldn't have said anything either. I really posted because I'd like to see the chud musician community flourish more, and obviously since Killing Swarm is made up of a lot of the powers that be around here, it might be a good place to start. I know one thing I crave is any criticism on my band's work, whether it be positive or negative. But trust me, good song! Not hated!!!

Wasn't talking about you. More the lack of response on a whole. We always appreciate feedback.

I like. Keep it up.
