Laughing at those less fortunate than yourself. (AKA Tard Blog)

Thread Starter
Every year I revisit this site and start a new thread about it. It's hilarious but in the I'm-going-to-hell-for-laughing-at-this kind of way.

The site is a blog of a teacher who teaches in a Special Education class. When i first came across this in the humor section of these boards sometime in 2002 I found my self appalled by most of what the site contained but also compelled by it. It was like watching a train wreck, I couldn't stop myself from clicking the next entry button every time I finished a page while laughing my ass off. This site has become one of my guiltiest of pleasures. Too bad it's updated infrequently.

Love the site, though. I remember just reading through the whole thing in one sitting and laughing my ass off.

That looks like Websense technology. They had it at my last job and it sucked.

Maddox (over at the "Best Page in the Universe" website) hilariously chastised them last year:

Have those kids read this thread? No? Then they are NOT less fortunate than myself.

As reprehensible as I find this, Jeebus, it's addictive.

I'm SO going to hell.

And so far I've seen behavior not unlike that which I dealt with when I worked at a religious group home.

When I went to see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on opening night with billylove and our friend, Todd, there was a mentally handicapped guy in the theater sitting across the row from us. He kept laughing at the most inopportune moments and billylove couldn't stop laughing, thus making Todd laugh. I didn't realize why they kept laughing until they explained their guilty predicament after the movie was over, as I was sitting on the other side of them and couldn't hear the guy as well.

I found it sad and interesting, but I didn't really laugh. IMO A drunken woman's behaviour isn't funny if she's pregnant.

I didn't laugh, either. I just couldn't stop reading.

I know a girl that works at a group home for mentally handicapped adults a couple of times a week. She has some great stories. Here are a couple of my favorites:

A local church holds a special service just for the people from the home once a week. One of the ladies has a tendency to swear all the time. It might be Tourette's; I'm not sure. Anyways, after the opening hymn of the service when everyone got quiet and the minister was beginning to speak, the lady shouted "Ohhhh Sheeeiiiit Biiiiiitch." I laugh out loud whenever I picture that situation.

One of my friend's main responsibilties is trying to get the people to keep their clothes on. Some of them like to strip and run around naked whenever they get a chance. One day after they'd just gotten back to the house, one of the guys stripped naked and took off for the back yard. The only thing this guy ever says is "You know betta" because when he was young and misbehaved, his mom always corrected him by saying, "You know better." My friend was holding his hand and leading him back to the house (he was still naked) when she saw that his mom had shown up for a visit. When the man saw his mom, he began shaking his finger at my friend saying "You know betta" over and over, like she was the one responsible for the situation.

Those are some tough ones. I don't think I can deal with that kinda shit.
