It's Midlife Crisis Time!

Aww, fuck me.

I am officially old enough to be the hot new intern's father.

Suddenly in the market for a sports car,

I have to agree, Frank. Nothing says "Holy shit! Where did all those years go?" better than a big fat Harley. Interns really dig them!

If you want I'll introduce you to my dealer.

Am I the only one who, when seeing a guy on a Harley, thinks "dentist"?

Now, this is a bike!

Refusing to pluck out the gray,

Forgot the "H" in the address.

Here you go

That is a really nice bike.

OK, I have to admit to checking Frank's profile in a panic.

Thank God. He's older than I am.

If you pluck out the gray you can have a 20 year old nut sack again.

Why not just give him yours? It's obviously not being used for anything.

I don't pluck mine, but I do keep my hair buzzed (number 1 guard) so that you can't see the gray hairs. I actually had decided to grow my hair back out (after keeping it buzzed for the past 2 years) and was dismayed to discover the few strands had multiplied.

Edited to add: 32 is way too young to have gray.

If you seriously consider going with a bike, be sure to check out your options. BMW discontinued their cruiser line this year and there are a lot of better options than HD. Honda and Yamaha have great cruiser lines that may have everything you are look for. Good luck, man.

33 and when I buzz it (my head that is not my sack) I get grayer.

Thanks, Ockham, but I'm just playing around. Dropping $16k on a toy that I can't enjoy with my family is not in the cards.

Maybe when the last kid's in college ...

How about a $30K car that your whole family can enjoy (but you especially):

MazdaSpeed6

I've seriously been lusting after this baby for a couple of months. It was actually in the cards if my old car had held out until this summer, but alas it died early and so I had to go with something else.

Dare I ask what color you get when you buzz your sack?
It's strange, but ever since I was a teenager, I've always wanted a full head of platinum-white hair (I blame Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner for this)...tried bleaching it three times in quick succession to achieve the desired results; yet only achieved thinning hair, flaming red scalp and a colour I could only describe as 'straw' (on trying to correct the colour with dye, some 5 days later, my hair went a browny-green...oh to be 22 again!)...my beards slowly getting there, though...one strand at a time...

Don't sweat it. The fact that you can make that statement shows that you're either not really having a mid-life crisis or maybe a very mild one. I'd say "hands off the intern", but I doubt you need that advice.
Get the bike. I'll have the intern.

Problem solved

My hair started turning white at 25.

Age, I do abhor thee.

And Frank - you seem like a good guy. Hang in there. We're all in our prime.
You people suck. I had gray hair in high school. Now that I'm just two months from turning 31, I've got quite a bit more "salt" to the "pepper" on my noggin. I fear that soon it will take over.

I've been thinking about what I could do with that $16K. Maybe with some Botox, some caps for my teeth, and some hair plugs, I could look like this:

What do you think?

P.S. Thanks for your words of concern, guys, but this was more an amusing observation to provide fodder for Chewer riffing than an actual cry for help.

Good God, does he have cataracts? Almost as creepy as the Burger King guy.

Take heart, man. I'm only 20 and I have a natural Jim Bolton thing going on ... i.e. I have black hair and a white beard.

Midlife crisis is when you wake up in the dead of night thinking "What the f*** am I doing with my life?"

I experience this regularly.
Does realizing that you are financially responsible for your whole family everyday and then getting depressed because they are free to do whatever and not you count?
Fuck, Frank, I'm older than you and I already had my crisis. That is until I saw that bike.

You know, I could put the kiddo back in public school and maybe swing the payment. Because she would be in public school, she could ride the bus while daddy lets what's left of his hair peel off in the bike blown breeze.

I think these things happen because most people drift through life with their eyes closed. They aren't really thinking about the choices they make. This is why it is best to have the blind fold removed earlier in life. It sucks that you have to go through this, but look at it this way; You can only be happy from here on in. The blind fold has been removed.
