Sith Chinese Theater Line

Thread Starter
So now that the release is, well, at midnight tonight, what is the current update on the line at the Chinese Theater? Last I heard, they weren't showing it there, and the people in line 1) refused to believe it, and 2) wouldn't move because they were doing it for charity. So is the line still there? Are they showing it there after all? Or did everyone just give up and move the line to a different theater? What's the update?

To do that, they'd have to move the line to a different city, considering that EP3 is playing in Hollywood at the Arclight Cinemas, where all seats are reserved in advance and there's no need to line-up. I haven't heard any "official" update but supposedly, they're disbanding the line later today and are all going to the Arclight, starting with the midnight show tonight.

I hope the guy who made STARWOIDS shot a documentary about this EP3 line. It truly sounds like an absurd situation, charity stunt or not.

Truly, one of the most embarassing moments in Star Wars Fandom yet.

I realize the line out there is an easy shot at a joke, but it's a little more civilized than people often want to give it credit for being.

1.)All the line people sign in and out and they aren't required to sit there all day and night. They are there for the comraderie and to raise money for charity, not to be the first in a seat in a theater where they know the film isn't playing.

2.)They are all disbanding tonight to go to a couple theaters around town, watch the movie, then some of them will hook back up afterwards for eats or a party or something.

3.)They are aware of the ridicule and disdain people have for them, and it's all a part of the fun.

So, while I'd never do it, not even for charity--which this event is, I respect people's right to have non-harmful (in this case helpful) fun however they want.

On the local news today (in Phoenix), they mentioned the stuff in LA and said what sounded like the 501st Re-Enactors or whatever they are called will escort them down the street to the Arclight for a special screening. I dunno if its true or even how accurate it was, the volume was low and i coulndt find the remote.

Only Once

I'm going to address this once and that's it.

I don't know where this venom comes from. I've made my apologies, there's not much else I can do but continue to my express my opinion on this forum to the chagrin of some of those who believe my opinions and or beliefs about certain things are unintelligent. Part of me wants to apologize again, that's just my nature but I won't do it.

There's a person behind these words, a living breathing human [if you can believe it]. Say what you want, you have that freedom and I'll defend that freedom to my last breath. Know this, after a while, it affects me negatively, perhaps that's your intent, I'm not sure. What I am sure about is this, if you have a continued issue with me despite my efforts at , feel free to email me or pm me and we can discuss or argue to your heart's content. I have nothing against you.

If I'm guilty of anything it's being far too excited. My greatest sins on this board is my persistent double posting [of which I've apologized for continually] and something I'm trying to be more aware of. I can't control what you say [nor do I want to]. I just want to be left in peace. If you feel the need to continually berate me for my opinion then by all means, please do so, you have that right. I have the right not to respond and to move on and find more interesting topics and or threads.

So, I'll leave it at that.

You know, the people on that line are living, breathing humans. They may very well read this board.
