NSFW (includes swearing) but funny nonetheless.

Ah yeah, tube driving, hardest game in the world, innit? I used to do a bit but I popped my knee, missed my window for promotion to the Northern Line.

Can't argue with the sentiment, greedy bastards they are.

Tough life that of the tube driver... sob sob. Though I personally feel the Maintenence and Engineering teams are a bigger pack of cunts.

An all-day ticket for the London tube system is a passport to myriad opportunities.

I love it.

And in a statement issued just ten minutes ago, the Home Secretary announced that he personally will be going into the tunnels this weekend, armed with a special gun...

There are many types of cunts on the London Underground. I get the feeling that the people that did that song were one type. I hope the Home Secretary is taking a cunt-gun.

Commentary on the struggles of urban life + British people singing = rock-solid comedy.

I wish someone would write a protest song about my worthless, perpetually-malfunctioning Dodge Neon.

Back in the 60's, Bill Cosby did a great routine about the New York Subway system in which he said:
"Not only do the Subway trains take you where you want to go and bring you back, but they go out of their way to entertain you. They put a Nut in every car".
Having, on vacation, spent a good deal of time on the London Underground, Cosby would greatly enjoy riding on the London Tube. SOme of what I saw on the trains makes the nut jobs out at Speakers' Corner at Hyde Park on Sunday Afternoon look postively like beacons of light and reason in comparasion.
One of the wierder sights My Wife and I saw there late on night, about a half hour before the station I was at closed, was a bunch of school kids in sleeping bags dressed in psuedo 1940's clothers taking sleeping bags down to the station. It seems there is a "Living History" program in which they try to show the kids what it was like to sleep in one of the stations during the Blitz.
