That's exactly right. It might be telling the story no one wants to hear, but it tells it right, for the most part.
I would argue that things hold together into about halfway through Episode II, though. There are a lot of parts early on that feel like Star Wars, until it turns into about three different video games in succession.
I've only seen ROTS once, but I'm almost afraid to see it again, because I feel like it's going to lose at least a couple points.
