1.) Beginning where Marty escapes from the Libyans
2.)Getting Biff and his buddies to drive into the manure pile.
3.) Marty plays Johnny B. Goode at the "Enchantment Under the Sea" dance.
4.) The hoverboard intro to 2015 Hill Valley/ Trying to steal Gray's Sports Almanac from Biff
5.) Showdown with Mad Dog.

1. "Gimme a milk, Lou...CHOCOLATE."
2. "I didn't have time to paint it, and it's not to scale."
3. "Buy youself some new clothes...Something inconspicuous."
4. "Your friend in time, "Doc" Emmett L. Brown.
5. "Where'd you learn to shoot like that?" "7-11"

I had to narrow down to what pops in off the top of my head. There are so many moments for me, I love these movies. In fact I enjoy these the same way I imagine many do about the Star Wars or LOTR Trilogy. I'm glad they remain for the most part unsullied by special editions and endless merchandising.

The greatest moment in the whole trilogy is in Part II where the 1985 Doc meets the 1955 Doc, creating exactly what he feared would come to be if your future and past selves met.

A pair-a-docs.

#5-Man on Street: I think he stole that guy's wallet!

#4-Biff Tannen: That's about as funny as a screen door on a battleship.

#3-Biff Tannen: Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?

#2-George McFly: Now, look. I'll finish those reports on up tonight, and I'll run 'em on over first thing tomorrow. Alright?
Biff Tannen: Not too early. I sleep in Saturday. Oh McFly, your shoe's untied.

#1-Biff Tannen: What are you looking at butthead?

God, I love Biff. He's one of my favorite movie characters ever.

Speaking of which, Tom Wilson is now a prolific and actually pretty talented pop-art painter.

Seems like a pretty cool guy and I love his use of color and depth.

Good of you to bring up what Wilson's doing these days, Daryl. I too dig his art work ; it's really cool in that Warhol-esque way. He also does voice over work I believe as he did voices for Spongebob.

Wilson was also a stand up comic before he got the part of Biff.

The one not mentioned yet is 'the totally telegraphed left hook' by George McFly in Part 1.

5) "When this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious shit." --Christopher Loyd was really awesome in this series, especially the first one, which I still think should've gotten him an Oscar nom.

4) "The name's Eastwood. Clint Eastwood." --number three gets overlooked so often.

3) The little details they work into each time period--the clock tower, Marty almost getting hit by a car near the town square, Biff ending up in horse dung, etc.

2) "I am Darth Vader. I come to you from the planet VULCAN!!" Such a pure geek moment. I love it.

1) "Roads? Where we're going we don't need....roads."

  • "I'm George. George McFly. I am your density."
  • "Yeah, Doc, you did send me back to the future, but I'm back. I'm back from the future."
  • "Ronald Reagan? The actor? Who's the Vice President; Jerry Lewis?!"
  • "Why, what happens in the future? What, do we become assholes or something?"
  • "Is this a robbery?" "No, it's a science experiment."

Lea Thompson in a prom dress.

Two Martys at the "Enchantment Under the Sea" dance. I remember seeing that as a kid and it totally flipped my shit. As did the alternate 1985 sequence with Biff's casino...

1. The beginning of part one where Marty hooks up to that huge ass amplifier and blows himself across the room.
2. "Escuse me kid, I need to borrow your.......hoverboard?"
3. I second the Darth Vader and Vulcan scene. Hilarious.
4. "Back in Time" by Huey Lewis. I still like that damn song.
5. The beginning of the second one when Doc is celebrating sending Marty back and then from around the corner Marty comes running up the street

For those who haven't already, I strongly recommend buying the trilogy dvd set as it's only around $22 now. It's quite a steal as you get plenty of cool supplements to go with it.

1. "YOU'RE FIRED!!!"-cue fax which reads the same
2. "Hello Chuck? It's Marvin......your cousin Marvin Berry! Remember that new sound you were looking for?"
3. The Hoverboard. Period. God did I want one of those when I was a kid. Does anyone else remember all the playground rumors that a working hoverboard was in the works?
4. "Duh McFly! Everybody knows hoverboards don't go over water...unless you have POWER" cue the big-ass hoverboard. Did I mention I like Hoverboards?
5. Slacker!

3. Back to the future 3 "Great Scott!" "I know Marty This is heavy!" I love the scene where they switch roles

4. The end of Back to the future with the flying car

5. "The Libians!"

Yes, I remember that. I remember reading about the rumor, I think, in an Entertainment Weekly. They were all 'hush, hush' about how they worked; acting like they were real or coming soon.

Ha, this just made me remember that Huey Lewis and the News is going to play in my city at the local city hall concert series thingy....they have knack for bringing in huge hispanic acts and almost forgotten American ones.

Playing this year at city hall:

Huey Lewis

and

The Doobie Brothers

Now this makes me wonder: Did Mattel possibly TRY to make one after the film came out? I'm sure they have something in their files about failed attempts of capitalizing on the film and trying to produce a real hoverboard.

1. 'Mom, you're so... you're so... big!'
2. JAWS 19 - THIS TIME IT'S REALLY, REALLY PERSONAL.
3. 'Ooh La La? Ooh La La!?'
4. Lone Pine Mall.
5. 'You won't believe this, Doc! We have to go back to 1955!'
'I don't believe it!'

I remember hearing they were real when I was a kid.

Sadly, I was just dumb.

Man, nothing beats the Clock Tower climax at the end of the original film. Just perfectly edited, scored and acted. One of the most genuinely exciting climaxes ever.

I also liked the genetic experiment where Jennifer mutated into Elizabeth Shue.
