Gambling Chewers

Since I'm on the subject in the main forum I though I'd ask the question: who here likes the odd "flutter"?

Horses? Football? Snail races?

I'm not a big gambler but I do love placing the odd bet or two.

Best result so far is a £40 treble including Greece to win the European Soccer Championships and two horse races netting me a welcome (I was approaching penury at the time) £500 (about $870).

There's no finer feeling than skinning the bookmakers on their own turf. That said, I don't like dog racing. I used to work at St. Helens dog track before they shut it down and I've seen some terrible things done to the poor creatures to ensure they don't win such as shoving razor blades between their toes and spitting tobacco in their eyes so they can't see. This used to go on at many tracks. I don't know whether it's still the case.
