Alright here's the deal:
My buddy and I are formatting my desktop today and I forgot to unplug his portable harddrive from my desktop. It runs on USB. Now when he loaded the screen to format the desktop he got the menu where it asks you which drive and such. There were two partitions there and I said he could delete both. Thing is we found out it was the portable harddrive. Niether of us actually thought that Windows could read the USB drives like that. Now the portable harddrive was partitioned and all my files that I needed kept were on the partition.
We've used a recovery tool to try and find the lost files, they are still there on the harddrive just not detectable. The portable drive hasn't been formatted. The program we're using has detected the first partition but it says it can't detect and/or won't search the second part.
So, is there anyway to find those losts files on the second partition of the portable harddrive? I need these files badly! Most of them are irreplaceable! HELP! HEEEELLLLPPP!!
