Inspired by the "What are you listening to right now" thread in the music forum.

DIRTY HARRY on TCM. If he threw his badge away at the end, how come there's sequels?

It's odd you brought that up, I was just putting out some Dirty Harry movies at work today and thinking the same thing. I didn't even know there were that many sequels until today.

I watched THE DEAD POOL the other day and it's greatness. I still can't figure out whether it's serious or a parody. But if you want to see a hair metal Jim Carrey in a seedy hotel room miming GNR's 'Welcome to the Jungle,' that's your ticket.

City of God. What a movie.....

Angel and the Badman. A semi-pacifistic John Wayne film.
White Noise. But only because my wife wasn't in the mood to watch The Aviator.
Watched Infernal Affairs today while eating lunch. yes i know, its an exciting story

Monty Python's The Meaning Of Life

Underrated Monty Python and cheap on DVD

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

Napoleon Dynamite. Next flick will be the 1946 Cocteau version of Beauty and the Beast.

I love me some Netflix....
COLLATERAL, saw the DVD was only $10 new so it was a good excuse to finally watch it on the small screen. Unless something goes askew the next one will be the Seagal/Vinnie Jones pairing SUBMERGED, hope I like hell!
I used the three day weekend to catch up on my Netflix backlog, and finally got around to watching "I Heart Huckabees" and "Saved". I liked them both quite a lot. "Saved" was particularly surprising since I generally dislike high school movies. "Primer" is still sitting on the coffe table, so I'll be getting to that soon.

Chinatown. I liked the portrayal 1930's L.A., and the fact that this interesting noir about water rights and murder was in color.
Ghostworld. Might watch Moulin Rouge, finally, tonight.
I watched Cape Fear (Scorsese; De Niro was wild!) and A Fistful of Dollars yesterday and I watched Maverick and For a Few Dollars More tonight. I'll be watching The Good, The Bad and The Ugly tomorrow.

Hostage. I miss the old Bruce Willis. The one that was in the first two minutes of this film.

<sigh>

Bullitt

why wasnt Robert Vaughn in more movies?
I just polished off Predator on Sunday.
The Defiant Ones, on the local PBS station Saturday night.
Crumb. Robert Crumb has a seriously fucked-up family.
Sword of Doom. Finished like 3 minutes ago. Not as good as I was expecting, too much meandering, but the end was pretty crazy. I wonder what the record is on sword-deaths in a single movie. This one couldn't be less than top five.

Revenge of the Sith - I have seen it twice now and I still love it. Gonna give Attack of the Clones another go tonight - ive only seen it once and that was in the cinema.

Beverly Hills Cop
Damn, I miss funny Eddie!
Burton's BATMAN. I enjoy it, but it's terribly unfocused. With the Joker and Robert Wuhl's reporter, it almost seems like Batman's a secondary character, which really harms it. But it's still fun, and the score rocks.

Minority Report, sure there are some serious cheese moments and plot/logic flaws/give-aways, but the sci-fi action in the middle and the special fx are amazing and fun to watch.

10$ for the widescreen single disc at Best Buy.

Episode III
-After watching it for a 3rd time, the flaws are more apparent, but the strengths are strong still.

'Manos' The hands of fate. The MST3K version.

I'm sorry. That movie should not be allowed to exist.

I was just watching Sleepy Hollow with the Tim Burton commentary.

Collateral. Michael Mann is the King.

Whatever happened to Rosmarys Baby?
Crappy, weird sequel.
I miss Mia Farrow.

Man on Fire, really great revenge flick
Watched a double feature of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and Dead or Alive. Both great movies. Needless to say, it wasn't family night.
I watched Miller's Crossing for the second time (I had to show a friend and thus broke my week long interlude rule) on Sunday Night and now I am desperate to find a movie that will match up to it. I am just in love with cinema at the moment and need something that won't bring me crashing down...... I reckons I got some Korean cinema ahead.

Watched all but the last 25 minutes of Spartan last night. Really like it so far, but from what i've heard I should cut my losses right now and leave the end a mystery. I won't, of course...

Very un-Mamet in a lot of ways. Kilmer is aces. Mamet's direction has really improved since Heist.

I just watched Frankenfish last night, there were a lot of slow moments but it had some great fishy moments. Better yet, it had propellor death. TWICE.

Small Soldiers

way better than I had remebered, and damn if I wasnt looking on Ebay for the talking archer figure, great use of music from other movies
post #41 of 195
Death Hunt.
Quality action with the one and only Charles Bronson.
Rest in peace, man.
BRING ME THE HEAD OF ALFREDO GARCIA.

As Clarence said in TRUE ROMANCE, 'that is a fuckin' movie.'
DRUMS ALONG THE MOHAWK just recently, which was spectacular.

And CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD before that. Fulci is just, whoa, something strange.
I had a pretty good night: Presumed Innocent with Harrison ford, True Believer w/ james woods, and City of god, all three of which severely kicked my ass

James Woods was ON FIRE. I love that guy

MATILDA. Sweet little film.

Gozu. This probably becomes my second favorite Miike film. There is an audio commentary by Eli Roth that I haven't listened to yet, but if this is one of the films that inspires Roth's Hostel, I'm going to be pleased.
The Avitator yesterday (which is an EXCELLENT film and a Best Picture winner any other year).

The Incredibles with the audio commentary Brad Bird today (Brad Bird needs a live action-group dynamic-comic book vehicle. Say, JLA or the Avengers?)

Tomorrow it's The Magnificent Seven (for the upteenth time) and maybe Phantom of the Opera.

MAYBE Phantom.
Last in theaters: Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (fiance wanted to see it. If there was a god, he so would have mercy killed me about 20 minutes in)

At Home: Primer of the 3rd time, Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys
post #50 of 195
Just watched Izo. I think my mad dash through the land of Miike is over for the time being.
