That's great, because anything Highlander that wasn't the first movie has been great. Besides, didn't they already do a highlander cartoon?

It being done by an anime studio could actually be an inprovement, but it was a mid 90s animated series based on Highlander, set in the future, with no beheadings because it was a mid 90s animated series.

"Scratch that. Reverse it."

The syndicated show had its moments and some great characters. Just wish they could have actually made a good film to follow it. Everything Highlander is plagued by problems. And by the description of this anime, the crap will continue.

Not with a genius like Kawajiri at the helm it won't.

good god that animated show was SO fucking awful.

Sometimes i wonder what the hell people are thinking when they put together cartoon shows.

Anyone watched the Highlander anime?

The script is packed to the brim with clichés, but the animation and action in this was gorgeous. There's one swordfight that is up there with Ninja Scroll, easily. I would dare to say it's my favorite animated sword fight, ever.

Overall it's only ok (since the characters are annoying and the script is so damn predictable and common-place), but the animation and the one sword fight make it worthwhile.

Also, the version releasd in the US was edited by the american producers (they write the script, then edit the movie? Weird). Kawajiri was pissed, of course.
