Thirty-some-odd Candles?

I gotta admit, I'd be curious to revisit these characters, if only to see Anthony Michael Hall return to comedy. That kid had tremedous timing...check out the first "Vacation" movie.

P.S. though not an actuall sequel to the Breakfast Club, per se, Hughes' "Reach the Rock" was a psuedo-sequel. I heard that it was the script he wrote to be the sequel but it was turned down. It mostly deals with the "Bender" and "Claire" characters a few years after high school. Saw it a long time ago, but I remember it being pretty good

these movies better hurry up and try to beat each other out of the gate, cause there is only so much nostalgia to go around. i know that all these are different stories, but i just don't think a lot of people are going to be flooding into theaters for this. Maybe out of morbid curiosity for a second Goonies, and if Beetlejuice 2 is done in the same style as the first it should attract an audience, but Molly Ringwald?

I could be completely wrong about this, but i think this one is going to be fairly high profile, with not a whole lot of finish. this will be something more people talk about than actually leave the house for.

This might help.

looks like he really hasn't been up to a whole lot recently.

he was born in the same town i was, only 30 years before me. kind of interesting to find that out. Maybe he should direct another movie pretty soon. no one wants to die with the last film they directed being Curly Sue.

Yeah I heard about a planned sequel to the breakfast club and I guess by reading the first post on this thread, a sequel to 16 candels as well.

The problem I have with this movie other than the very Huge gap between the last films is the director himself. I love the guy, I was a very big fan of Hughs But its been 16 years since he's been in the directos chair. would the guy even remember how to relate with actors, would he know how to capture what he did so well in the eightees? ( and that goes for his writing also )

I love the guy but he should of done the sequel to these movies when he First talked about it.

Although I've complaned in my previous post, I wish the guy luck the same way i wished Mickey Rourke Luck before the sin city release.
