The current boxed collection of the Warner's Batman films...is this just the currently availably DVDs boxed together or is this the special editions we read about earlier this year?
No SE features, no reason for me to buy it..

there were supposed to be special editions of all 4 (more importantly part 1) before Begins was released next week. But i forget the reason for their delay.

So I should just pass this set by and wait for the SEs.
Just as well, I was not sure I want to soil my shelf with "Batman and Robin" anyway.

My guess as to when the SEs come out is October, since that's the rumored release of Batman Begins. You may not be able to get all five in one box, but I'd be shocked if the set isn't released day and date with BB.

As for extras, there's supposed to be a 2-hour doc with the first movie and a Batman Forever director's cut. Those have been the only things even remotely confirmed.

I really hope Warner doesn't GODFATHER us by making all the films only available as a box set at first. I'd probably be compelled to buy the set for that BATMAN doc alone. But I guess I wouldn't mind seeing that extra on the BATMAN AND ROBIN disc, "Into the card: The Origin of Batman's Credit History."

The current Batman box set out now, The Batman Legacy I believe is what it's called, does not have the SE's in it. It's just the previous, bare-bones editions. The films look shitty as well.

This set has been out for awhile now and I assume Warners is just pushing it now because Batman Begins is coming out soon. They'ed want the unsuspecting consumers to eat this one up and then when the SE's come out later in the year those folks will gotta pony up the cash for those, if they want them.
