Woo hoo! One of my favorite Dan Aykroyd movies of all time, Doctor Detroit, comes to DVD (according to DavisDVD.com) on 9/13, along with Heartbeeps, The Last Time I Committed Suicide, and re-issues of Psycho II and Psycho III. Retail for all is $12.98, which will probably equate to $9.99 in store. Can't wait to add Clifford Skridlow to my collection--maybe if this sells well, DA will actually go forward with DD II: The Wrath Of Mom...hell, he did Blues Brothers 2, didn't he?

Coool! I'll have to write that down. Doctor Detroit was a great movie from my childhood. That and DC CAB i watched over and over again of Beta................. <sigh> whatever happened to good ol Dan...

I wonder if the film will hold up? its been a long time since I saw in uncut (it airs once in a while on USA)

Doctor Detroit rocks! This is awesome news.
Aykroyd did an excellent job showing what it took to portray a caucasian pimp in Michigan.

This movie is often included in lists of how Ackroyd went south after SNL, but personally I think it's one of the good ones. It's also one of the few movies with the great Howard Hesseman before he mysteriously vanished from our screens. Plus, it had a theme by Devo. It doesn't get better than that.
