This game sounds amazing. Then again so did Black & White and we all know how that turned out. Anyway Will Wright seems to be taking on his most ambitious project yet with this one. The ability to manipulate your creatures in any way and raise them from a single cell creature in a drop of water to a civilization pioneering space and onward. One of the cooler aspects to me is the online ability to have other players creatures downloaded into your world and vice versa then to be able to travel to other worlds totally created by other players. Sounds too cool. I wonder if you'll be able to take over other worlds as well or even sign alliances and such and war against other worlds. The possibilities seem endless and I will surely waste hours and days of my life with this one if it doesn't turn out to be another B&W. Here's hopin'.

Yea...we already have a post somewhere around here but I'm certainly impressed.

I try not to get too worked up about games from descriptions that come early in development. You mentioned Black & White, but there's also Fable, which wasn't nearly what it was reported to be. And then there's Sid Meier's Dinosaurs, and Sam & Max: Freelance Police, which were actually cancelled. For that matter, despite the glowing reviews, I didn't think that Jade Empire even nearly reached the promise hinted at by KOTOR. Basically, while I'm sure that Wright has big plans, there's no telling whether they'll ever reach fruition. I refuse to be excited at this point.

And is The Movies ever coming out?

I believe that Peter Molyneux and Wil Wright made a secret bet about who could take the longest to make a game. The ball is now in your court again Wil as I believe The Movies is set to be released this fall.

Thanks. I've been wandering around aimlessly ever since the Creature Corner went to hell. I figure I can still hang out and talk video games and music though.
