Anyone played this... preferrably the Xbox version?

I'm a big fan of military shooters and this one intriguies, but I have not come across a solid review from a source I trust yet.

isnt this game old news? atleast for people who play pc games? ive had a copy of this game for...seems like forever now.. gotta be over a year now -atleast- ...

The pc version was -ok-.... but nothing memorable or particularly innovative other than blackhawk helicopter runs in multiplayer..which is no longer special thanks to the Battlefield games.

I'm pretty sure the new console version is supposed to be pretty different from the previous PC game. Could be wrong, though. That's why I'd like to hear more.

They'll need to make it drastically different from all the Delta Force games if they hope to overthrow the superior military shooters on consoles already...

I mean.. I enjoy the franchise and all... but its really one of the most simplistic games out there... start mission... wait for hundreds of tracers to fill up the sky... shoot in general direction of tracers until they stop.. walk for 10 min.. kill/blow up an objective.. walk to end of map... end. I dont think they even had squad commands programmed in yet.. just another army guy on the level who does his own thing

I guess time will tell... but yea, it would make sense for them to do some major revamps if theyre porting an outdated, under-utilized game

Its good to know you trust the reviews of people on here more than *random game review website*.. I know I've been directed towards some great games based off stuff I've read in the forums here, and stayed away from many more

Multiplayer on this game on the PC was really fun. Cool physics, nice explosions, vehicles on rails that you can ride and shoot from. 'twas fun, and the HUGE player number they were shooting for on Xbox Live (64?) sounded nuts.

Probably not the greatest purchase if your interest lies in single player, but multiplayer should be chaotic and fun, at least until Battlefield 2 on Xbox 360.

I had a great time with this on PC in the singleplayer campaign. Didn't get around to playing multiplayer.

I play 64 player Battlefield 2 all the time.. I think past a certain point the larger number loses its appeal, as often as soon as you spawn your cut down by 4 different people as the map is super populated.. but if theres one thing Delta Force has always been known for... its having impossibly large maps.. 64 should fit quite sparingly

Just remember to flame those dirty spawn campers
