WoW

Hey, I remember some of us started a guild on one of the servers and were playing 'together' for a bit.

Was wondering if any of you guys still played and what you think of BGs?

I had a 60 Shaman on Stormreaver with a group of friends. We pretty much cancelled our accounts about a week after BGs came out. We were all very hardcore PvPers and were extremely disappointed w/ BGs

Just curious as to what you guys were up to

I've been fairly lax in playing lately, as more important things come up.

But Battlegrounds is pretty much the best thing ever. It's way better than the random PvP crap on the dedicated servers.

Fucking Tarren Mill.

See, I liked PvP pre BGs..about 2-5 of us (usually just me and a rogue) would run around WPL/Burning Steppes/WS/Felwood and find people to kill. We never did the TM crap. Well, we did like a few times, but never for long because we hated that. My rogue partner was a Lt. General and I was a Champion. We were almost always in the top 10 on our server. My rogue friend was usually between 3 and 5. It would get kind of old running around sometimes, but I still think it was better and a lot more fun than BGs

I used to dig the BGs, back when they did the Saturday Night Fever stuff.

Thought AvP was shite though...

I've been to Warsong a few times with my rogue, and quite enjoyed it. That's the kind of PvP I prefer.

Right now I'm playing more than I have in months, levelling up a new Dwarf Priest. I'm at level 25 currently and DAMN it's nice not having to beg for instance groups. I think I'm addicted all over again. And whoever said Priests were hard to level is a fucking liar.

I still have one of my CHUD guild characters, but I haven't touched him since January or so.

Priests are fun and are really easy to level once you get some of the shadow talents.

I haven't touched my chud chick in quite awhile either.

I'm glad you guys seem to be enjoying the game still

I actually really dig Warsong Gulch. Alterac Valley is just Tauren Mill on a grander scale, making it feel a lot more like work than actual PvP... my biggest issue at the moment is, the reputation rewards for Warsong Gulch pale in comparison to what you can get from Alterac Valley.

So I end up choosing between fun PvP, or boring PvP with sick rewards.

[Edit: And as I say this, I find that the Warsong Gulch rewards page has actually updated, sweet! There go all my complaints. ]

I love Warsong Gulch, but I haven't been to BG since I was 38 (I'm almost 42 now) because I'm trying to get my mount. Three weeks of saving and killing stuff, even farming some instances, and I still only have 43 gold. It's starting to piss me off.

I am actually sort-of-kind-of in the mood to play WoW now. What server are you guys on? Maybe I will start a new chick.

I had a friend get be hooked on with the 10 day pass and a promise of paying for 2 mo. should I so choose to continue. And we both just hit 50 with our humans (mine is a paladin, his is a warrior) 2 days ago. I still dig it, after almost 2 months, although BG REALLY needs some balancing before it's the be all, end all place of badassness. I think what I've enjoyed most is playing with my friend. We hook up our cell phones when nighttime minutes start, plugin our headsets, and shoot the shit while playing. really makes it seem like less of a grind and makes healing, pulling and shit talking all the easier. Look for Nvar on the Malygos server, if anyone is interested in screwing around for awhile.

If you have broadband you should really investigate Ventrillo or Teamspeak, two programs that let you speak to other people via the internet (and a set of gaming headsets). Works just fine while playing WoW, and it'll save you money and batteries on the ol' cell phone.

The character I spend most of my time with now is Cobbler of Stormrage, currently a 27 Dwarf Priest. Drop by and say 'Hello, you midget freak' anytime.

I finally picked back up with my level 40 dwarf paladin. I'm gonna hit the level cap if it kills me!

After wandering around Ironforge with my new Dwarf Rogue yesterday and seeing all the cool-ass shit that level 60's get, I am more determined than ever to max out at least one character. Of course, what'll end up happening will be that I'll get a character to 45 or something and then Blizzard will release an expansion pack that rasies the level cap to 80 or something.
