First there was "Clerks X", now comes the inevitable money-making idea of "Mallrats X" (from DavisDVD.com):
Mallrats is probably my #1 or #2 favorite KS movie, but I don't know if I'll shell out another $24 for another copy that looks like it has the same stuff on it as the original (save for the new commentary). Thank goodness for Blockbuster giving me credit for the old one so I can use it on the new one. I guess.

| Universal Studios has just announced Mallrats X: 10th Anniversary Extended Edition for release on September 20th. The disc will include both the original theatrical edition and a new "The Cut That Should Never Have Been" extended version of the film featuring deleted and extended scenes worked back in, along with a new score. Hopefully I'll see the sailboat this time. Early word on extras includes an all-new audio commentary with cast & crew, a new documentary, 10th anniversary Q&A held at the ArcLight Theater (with Kevin Smith, producers Scott Mosier and Jim Jacks, DP Dave Klein and actors Jeremy London, Jason Lee, Renee Humphrey, Ethan Suplee and Jason Mewes), an eight minute blooper/outtakes reel, MTV's Premiere Party Special, a production archive (featuring press archives, storyboards and every screenplay draft) and all the bonus materials from the original DVD release. Retail will be $26.98. Thanks to Tyler for the assist! |
