Listened to it again this morning. Steve's timing is so good I even laugh at his accidental jokes.
Like with the Tintin/Lassie joke I didn't make the Rintintin connection immediately, I just thought he'd chosen to reference another irrelevant-to-2012 plucky, fictional hero of yesteryear as the punchline, and the fact he chose a famous dog instead of a human combined with his perfect delivery of the line hit me right on the laugh button.
Or the Ron Paul riff (from 15:25 of the ep) where he responds to Justing asking "Ron Paul?" with "Who?". The whole riff cracks me up but that "who?" destroys me over and over.
"I had a guy trying to throw a Ron Paul leaflet at me on a street corner the other day."
"What did you do?"
"What did i do? I took one, and I said 'Hell yes!' ... This guy's last name's Paul? Of course I'm voting for him! Have you seen what he looks like? He looks like he's trying to be a vulcan. Of course I'm voting for him! The guy wears a third-hand suit. Of course I'm vo-ting for him."
"Ron Paul?"
"Who?"
