The CHUD Show/Podcast Discussion - Page 97
I just need to delete that damn app and go back to the Apple podcast app I guess. I liked the Overcast because it had everything up a lot quicker than on the Apple, but I guess at a pretty big cost.
Downloaded fine on the Overcast app for me.
Also dug the Punisher stuff, particularly focusing on Bernthal's style of not to looking anyone in the eyes in that show. "He looks at them once in a while, but it's only so he knows where not to look the rest of the time."
Haven't watched Punisher (I'm of the same mind as Nick when it comes to the Marvel Netflix shows), but I've been watching Pornicus, I mean Sparticus, and that is the same acting style as the dude who plays Crixus. There may be a musclehead acting school out there that teaches this style of acting. Or maybe it's something they learned from years at the gym. Don't look anyone in the eye.
It was a jab at the marketing. It was marketed like a faith film.
Haven’t seen it yet. But I did see fucking Happy Death Day.
I've been a massive Star Wars fan since 1980, and defend a lot of it's garbage... but I just can't stand Rogue One. It's my 8th (soon to be 9th) favorite SW film. It's so dull. There's nothing fun about it until the end - which as you mentioned is totally stupid. A whole bunch of thick accented dudes wearing grey wandering around in circles for 2 hours.
Also on what are the best baseball movies.
Also any and all behind the scenes stories of making the series of CHUD videos with Renn.
Thanks for the appetite-salving dip into all those Boba Fett spoilers. This week is taking too long.
This is the most spoiler-free I've been on a SW film since 1983... actually, no - I had that storybook already... This is the most spoiler-free I've been since I was a toddler at the drive-in in 1980. I'm almost considering NOT taking my 9 year-old boy since kids these days aren't impressed with anything and I don't want his negative energy wreckin my high.
That opening song on this episode is really good.
Is that "GET IT" a Dice Clay reference? or am I imagining things?
Oh that no problem. You guys are doing a podcast and everyone know before they listen that you just saw the new Star Wars. Rankings don't bother me. What bothers me is everyone on my Facebook feed (I just need to get off Facebook) posting their unsolicited rankings as a way of letting everyone else know "Hey guys, I already saw the new Star Wars. Seeeeee? And look how high I ranked it. That's right. It's almost good as EMPIRE! And I already saw it!" Then come back next year when they do their same rankings, and the last movie is down by the prequels and suddenly it's "OMG you guys! I just saw SOLO! I thought it was going to suck but it's the best thing since EMIPRE! Imagine Indiana Jones in space! Ron Howard is a GOD!"
Man, I am cranky this morning. Shit sleep.
