Picking this up this afternoon, and I've heard it's really fun.

Yea, im asking for my birthday..
to be truthful, i was kinda sketchy about this port, but IGN said it was great, then after reading a few more good reviews, i got hooked.... cant wait till saturday.

Agent 86, I played some of this last night and this morning. My only problem with it is that it seems difficult to save. Other than that, I'm having a lot of fun with it. The dueling is basically just buttonmashing, but the ship to ship combat's really well thought out. I think I've only scratched the surface though, as I've only played it for about an hour.

I recommend it.

In the PC version you could only save when you were at sea. Dunno 'bout the Xbox flavor...

I played for 3 hours last night and I got to say it was really fun.

The only thing missing is a map. A hard copy of the map.

Yeah, this is a high recommend now. I played this thing for 4 hours straight yesterday and when I woke up before I got ready for work I went straight for the XBox and played an hour more. It's really simple to learn, but goddamn if it's not addicting.

I played the demo on the OXM disk -- man, did they arcade the hell out of the ship-to-ship fighting. Those frigates were flying around the ocean like freakin' jet skis...

Fantastic! The original remains my favorite game of all-time on any platform, and this update is great. I was finally able to pop it in yesterday for the first time and don't think I got up for 5 hours. Just as addictive as the original, and I'm amazed how many little idiosynchracies they've kept in it. And most of the additions (ship upgrades, etc...) aren't complex enough to ruin the simplicity. I'm still getting used to the overland battles, but I like them. The dancing can be tedious, but you don't have to do it if you don't want to. Great game!
